I hope you're wrong. That scenario would not make me happy. They should be able to contend again this year.I think the Pirate organization may be looking at the competition next season and do not like their chances. They may tread water early in the season - keep their fan interest somewhat satisfied - till some of their minor league pitching can contribute, and then make a run in 2017.
