Cardinals will win too... Enjoy losing in the wild card again!
The Wild Card is always a crap shoot. The Cheatin' Cards choked on that same Wild Card team in a 7 game series. At least the Pirates have won championships. They're not pathetic losers like Rutgers, for example. But, troll on. The Bucs have the 3rd best record in baseball and that is good enough for me.

60th win of the season, only behind the Cards and Royals for best record in MLB. Also now .500 on the road.
Looks like the Cards are going to win again tonight, but that's the way they roll.
The Cardinals may win the Division but they will choke in the playoffs again.

Hahahahahaha you make fun of Rutgers not winning champions because you can't make fun of the cardinals for it, hahahaha

Enjoy NOT winning the World Series sir!
I think some trolls believe if you lost a particular game last year, you will lose in the same way this year. That only happens if you wear the name Rutgers on your jersey.

No. I make fun of Rutgers not winning championships because they never have. The Cardinal have. The Pirates have. Everyone in the free world has won something ...except Rutgers.

Yeah, it cracks me up a fan of Rutgers, a program that has won nothing, which is located in the biggest cesspool in America, makes fun of successful pro teams. LOL

This thread is not about Rutgers, it's about the 2nd place in the division Pirates. The ones who have won the NL central 10 times fewer than the cards and have fewer than half as many World Series wins

And the Pirates being in 2nd place in a professional sport will be better then anything Rutgers will perform. Now back to your hole troll.

Try to make fun of the cardinals without bringing up an entirely different sport? You can't? Then the troll wins

No, it is about Rutgers, because I say it is. The pathetic Scarlet Knights have one national championship in their history...fencing in 1949. The Bucs have won 3 World Championships since then. Sure, the Pirates sucked for 20 years, but Rutgers has sucked for nearly 150.

Hey, then that's OK. Rutgers wins at trolling. It's the only thing they're good at. I respect the Cardinals because they win. I have no respect for Rutgers because they never win....except at trolling.:D

What the heck? Is this Rutgers maroon trying to manufacture some hate/rivalry between the Pirates and Cardinals?? What is it with Rutgers fans and their obsession with trying to manufacture rivalries??? I didn't know the Pirates had any enemies... Until tonight I guess.

Excellent. Come back during football season for another lesson.
Will do, until then have fun in another wild card game! Oh, and keep yelling that the Cards are hackers and cheaters, it's really hurting our team since that came out ;)

The Cardinals and Bucs are 5-5 this year. At their current rate, Rutgers will have 5 wins against Penn State in about 250 years.

Actually it has. The Cardinals winning percentage has dropped since the scandal. But, like I said, I respect the Cards. They are a good team, even when they're not cheating.

Don't care about the winning percentage as long as it's still the highest in the division... Which it is

Yes, it is. Hey, the Cards are good. I admit that. They currently have the best record in baseball.

Are you from St Louis, or did you just pick them as a team to follow because you like winners ? Can't knock the Cardinals. The Pirates have had a tough 20 years, but overall a pretty darn good MLB franchise. Of course as Pittsburgh natives and fans, we can also talk NFL and even NHL if you'd like, but you are here just to discuss baseball so we won't.

I guess I shouldn't have jumped on the guy. He did show up in a Pirate thread talking trash and carrying RU in his name, but I should have taken the high ground.

Moved from Livingston to St. Louis, and I hate every pro sport except MLB so talk about any sport you'd like.... The reason I hate the pirates is because nobody was a pirates fan until recently. Nobody cared until 3/4 years ago, now band wagoners everywhere

Well, actually that's not true, but even if it were, you lose for 20 straight years, you are not going to have a lot of fans. I can absolutely guarantee you if the Cards had 20 years of losing they would have similar results. Now, you can say that wouldn't happen to the Cards and that may be true, but no fan base is going to seriously follow a team with 2 decades of losing.

Nobody??!!! So attendance was zero? Man, I have a lot of tickets, memorabilia, shirts, etc I need to return. I didn't realize all that time I followed them I wasn't actually doing it. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, to think that every single team in every sport wouldn't dramatically lose attendance when they're awful for years on end is extraordinarily naïve. It's easy to think all your fans are amazing when there's no trial or tribulations along the way. Give the Cardinals 20 years of losing and show me how loyal and packed Busch is.

Plenty of people can continue following the Pirates and being interested without wanting to spend thousands of dollars on a management/ownership group that is saying F-U to them every day. Wouldn't refusing to support that such that they're forced to sell or change their ways be the best means of enacting change for the better and supporting the future of the franchise?

I don't understand why you fellows are engaging this "RU" cat. Don't respond and he'll go away; he's not here for understanding, he's here to stir up the fan base.

No, the reason you hate the Pirates is that they are now good and you view them as a threat to your "throne". As I've said before, fans of long time winning teams tend to develop a certain arrogance and fancy themselves as experts of the sport as well as its history. As such, you and those like you feel that no other fan base has a right to be enthusiastic. I'm betting that you know no more and probably less about baseball than many of the so called band wagoners on this board.

I really think that's what this is all about. The Cards now have to fight for the right to lose in the playoffs.
