Stallings was a strange hire to begin with. pitt has a history of running out of town good coaches who for some crazy reason Pitt thinks that they should be winning MNC's and that having competitive teams is just not good enough. So they run off Dixon and Wannstadt only to go out and hire a worse coach that sinks the program.
