Penn State beat themselves in that game, and handed the victory to Pitt. Regardless that game is ancient history and has absolutely no relevance to how the teams are playing now. What is the most possible wins Pitt could get this season... 8? PSU is already there playing a much tougher schedule.

Did you happen to see the Lair after we beat OSU? The hatred was palpable. Very few comments about PSU playing a good game...it was all Ohio State gave it away, Ohio State was way overrated, the Big 10 sucks, if Pitt played PSU's schedule they would be undefeated...and on and on. So don't expect us to give you guys props when we got none. My favorite post I saw yesterday was that Pitt beat a "legitimate" #2...hey genius, guess who's #2 again? So apparently OSU is way more legit than Clemson.

I don't hate Pitt, just 90% of their fans. The internet has ruined fan bases. Every PSU supporter is a "ped" on the internet. Yet, in the last 5 years not a single person has said that to my face. 9 year season ticket holder, multiple away and bowl games. Not once to my face. Eat my a$$, internet Cowboys. Pvssies.

all of the Pitt losses were to ranked teams except for Miami. Who has Penn State played besides a lucky win against OSU (OSU dominated that game according to stats. I think the vaunted PSU offense had less than 300 yards)and a blowout loss to Michigan? The rest of your games were against cupcakes.
Dominated the stats? They had one run for 70 yards. That was it. Glad you had that win this year, hold on to it as this was your best senior laden team and they didn't sniff anything. Hold on to that win as you'll need it. Biggest winner yesterday was Nard dog as he now completes his 2 year sentence and leaves if he gets lucky to get out.

God it's just KILLING you that you had the biggest win for your program in a decade last night, and it HELPED clear a path for PSU to go to the college football playoff. I guess you don't see the irony being that Pitt plays in a cupcake conference and just got he luckiest win all time against a team that was dominating them. That was some of the worst officiating of all time, and it kept Pitt in the game until that stupid 4th and 1 play call handed Pitt the game.
Best case, Pitt can get as many wins as PSU has now. That is with two super lucky wins against PSU and Clemson, and playing in the super cupcake ACC conference. What a terrible year for Pitt football. Soon Pat will leave for greener pastures too...

Congrats on the win. It was handed to Pitt by Clemson and the referees. 2 drives helped by phantom penalties, Clemson throwing 3 picks in the red zone. One where a FG ends the game. Going for it instead of punting from the 35. It was just a calamity of errors, but I didn't expect much from Clemson since NC State had them beat in Death Valley just a few weeks earlier.

Let's not let a fluky game where Clemson completely shits the bed 3 times in the red zone, has referees keeping Pitt drives alive with phantom penalties, and Clemson being overconfident on a 4th and 1 distort the direction these two teams are heading. That is the same Pitt team that was housed by Miami the week prior.
Penn State has been blowing the doors off teams for weeks. If they were going to lose, it would have been yesterday while playing with half their oline out and others playing different spots on the line.

They really don't understand that we don't hate them, we are just having fun at their expense. It's hard to hate something so far beneath you, it just not human nature. But it's easy to hate something so far above you. That perfectly explains the relationship between Pitt and PSU fans. The problem is, Pitt fans don't understand their place in the world, so they miss the big picture.
So pitt beat Penn State and Clemson this year. That's two national championships for pitt. Does that mean two parades down Forbes Avenue? Two championship rings? Two championship trophies?
