Huge fire & medical response. Potential mass casualty given location and time. Crashed 30 seconds after takeoff from NE Philly airport. Debris scattered pretty wide. Talked to my sister and she said an oxygen cylinder landed inside a McDonalds nearby.

Don’t discuss here….. some pinhead will turn it political and the mods will block the discussion rather than discarding the pinheads……….what a shame………this board used to be a source of information.

By the way…..a plane crushed in DC a couple of days ago……67 dead…..can’t discuss it here.

I don’t care if it gets moved……..I hate the fact that people try to make every thread political…….and I don’t intend to join the “premium” board.

Rutgers rivals has some videos. Very Disturbing.

Looks like it crashed on a side street intersection. One pedestrian on fire. Looked like something out of The Walking dead.

Condensed area of houses, shopping traffic. Have to assume more than just those on board have died or been injured.

Initial report was jet crashed 30 seconds after take off, but now Action News in Philly reporting (from NE Philly airport sources) the aircraft was in the air six minutes before crashing.

I have driven both ways on Cottman and Roosevelt many times, especially around noon. I shudder to think what that initial impact would have been like for the passengers and all the passersby.

Instead of politicizing this tragedy, weep for all those who lost their lives or were injured and forever traumatized by it.

News is saying passengers were a mother and her daughter who had successfully finished treatment at Shriners in Philly.

Latest - Mexican registered plane with all Mexican nationals on board. 19 injured on the ground. Plane appeared to be on fire before crashing, they're also saying birds don't fly much at night.

One on ground in a car was killed. Still searching homes, according to Philadelphia mayor.

Just heard another theory: a uncommanded thrust reverser. Former military pilot says these jets have had a history of the thrust reversers activating without being commanded. That seems crazy that it wouldn’t be fixed or the planes grounded.

Here’s video of impact site. Hole seems really small considering impact speed and size of the explosion.
