They may have to wait for the Big Ten schedule to see what the available dates are....Interesting that the article states that the OOC schedules are set through 2019 yet the 2019 schedule that is posted on the PSU official sports website lists 2 TBA games. I guess hey know who the opponents will be but for some reason have not made it public.
If I remember correctly, the Big Ten was going to start scheduling conference games earlier in the year, and let the schools play OOC games throughout the season, similar to what the SEC does.
That's what I was thinking. Not that it doesn't happen occasionally anyway--as I recall when we entered the league, some of our early games were vs Big Ten opponents--wasn't our first conference game also the first game of the season (vs Minny) that year??
Playing Georgia does sound good.I would like to see this happen.

The one time we got Bama to come up to Happy Valley in November, it was 75 at game time (as I recall). The Bear sure had an "in" somewhere....Playing Georgia does sound good.
Playing Georgia later in the season - perhaps November - sounds great.
I'd like to see an SEC team play in cold weather for a change.
With the Bear, it would have been 75 at game regardless of the weather. He would have brought 1,000 portable heaters with him.The one time we got Bama to come up to Happy Valley in November, it was 75 at game time (as I recall). The Bear sure had an "in" somewhere....
Playing Georgia would be outstanding (in 2020). Sandy really needs to step up the scheduling, which is hard since the big 10 expanded, but there should be on marquee OOC game EVERY year. AT HOME.

I haven't heard that one before. Why neutral site? A game in Baton Rouge would be sweet. The LSU discussions continue btw. We wanted a neutral site game in the deal. Hopefully, it happens.
I agree... I'd love to see a game down there!I haven't heard that one before. Why neutral site? A game in Baton Rouge would be sweet.
Getting Georgia would be the first announcement of an OOC game that would give me a woody in over ten years.
see above guys in the pinned section for future schedules. the Big has listed out dates through 2019 for conference games. the OOC games are all at the start of the season

October 28, 1989, Alabama played at Happy Valley. Although not quite November, it poured rain and looked to be rather cold. Bama won on a blocked PSU FG. Don't remember if Curry had 1000 heaters or not.
I must have that game confused with another Bama/PSU at Beaver, then. Sorry about that.My memories of that game end prior to the final play (blocking it out, pun intended), but I do vividly recall it was a BEAUTIFUL day weather-wise. I don't recall any rain or cold. Blair and the line stood tall on that final drive. Easily one of the most crushing PSU losses for me.

It must have been the 87 game. I remember watching it and feeling a bit sorry for the fans that sat through the downpour to see a loss. At the time I was working with a lot of PSU alumni in the DC area and their spirits were a bit dampened after that game (pun intended). No problem. As I recall, the 81 game had cold weather, but was dry/dreary. Bear's only visit to the Beav. 1983 was the game where PSU was struggling after an 0-3 start and put it to Bama hard for 3 quarters, leading 34-7, before hanging on for dear life, winning on the final play (a short side pitch to the southwest side of the field that was stuffed well short of the goal line). 1985 was the game where Matt Knizner cam on after Shaffer got hurt and threw a TD. PSu won 19-17. 1987 was an 8 p.m. start and played in heavy downpours. Bobby Humphrey ran wild -- 200 plus.
Getting Georgia would be the first thing that would give me a woody in over ten years. And before anyone brings up Alabama, that was announced more than a decade ago.
