Football **PODCAST: Is Penn State intentionally running up the score?**

I admit to not watching the video. I will also admit that we are intentionally trying to score as many points as we can, be it with the starters or the backups.

I hope so. Does anyone complain when anyone other than psu does it?
Yes. Others get complaints as well. Never from me tho. I say you let them play. If someone doesn’t want to get scored on then stop them. Especially when the backups are in. They need real reps and not just take a knee or only run the ball reps. JMO

Not counting the Delaware game, the most points that we've scored in a game are 41, so if Franklin is trying to run up the score, he isn't doing a great job of it. I mean, the second offensive unit pretty much has played most of the fourth quarter in almost every game, and they usually just end up scoring once a game in that time.

Who in the media is complaining about anyone other than PSU running it up?

Didnt the same media hold it against PSU in the polls when they did not run it up?

While playing more freshman on both sides of the ball and wholesale putting the second team in on offense early and not letting the starters batter the worn out opposing teams beat up defenses, absolutely we are!

Hilarious!

Completely disagree
Well, you can disagree, but history shows how many games Joe’s teams scored in the 50s and beyond against inferior opponents. He also came to the conclusion that it was necessary to drop the hammer on weak opponents to gain style points for the polls.

He ran the ball literally every single play in the second half at Illinois in 2005...went off on McQueary for throwing deep when a game was out of reach...wouldn't never hurry up to score a final TD like we did against WV, or run a fake like we did to throw the ball against Northwestern. When Joe got a lead, it usually meant he'd run, run, run. Joe wasn't intentionally trying to punch in late TDs to "drop the hammer" to run it up when games were out of reach against weak opponents.

People need to point fingers and whine.

Its a weak and unattractive part of human nature. The internet has made it easy to do so on any subject you can possibly imagine.

Running up the score isn't even something that exists. It's a competition. Play to the final whistle.

I can’t wait to read all the articles about Kirby running it up against Kentucky.
