Permit me to represent the glass-half-full brethren on this board. The Citrus Bowl ain't the Rose Bowl or the Fiesta Bowl, but it's also not among the myriad of other meh bowls being played between Christmas and New Years Day. Kentucky isn't a traditional powerhouse football program, but the Wildcats have about the same ranking and the same record that Penn State has this season. Plus they're in the SEC, which isn't exactly chopped liver. Frankly, the destination and the opponent are about what this team deserves right now. It should be a good game, and I'm looking forward to it.

I plan on attending the game and I'd much rather prefer Orlando to Atlanta. I'm not that excited about the opponent, LSU or Florida are more high profile but I can't say that they are any better on the field. Florida is way over rated and I'm not sure what LSU is anymore.

I am very excited about Orlando. I think it is the best of the rest and better than Atlanta either way.

Agree on all counts... but disappointing nonetheless with what was so close to being in the Team’s grasp. But will have to try and make the best of it.

I'm old school so I like playing on New Years Day. I also think this is a very fair destination given our record.

I'm happy with the destination and the opponent, should be a good game.

Orlando is 25 miles from my home. I plan on buying tickets the day of the game. This is another advantage of living in Central FL.

Blowing 4th quarter leads against tOSU and Michigan State had a lot to do with Penn State's bowl situation this year....

My question is if PSU closes the deal against OSU and MSU at home but still with the UM loss would have PSU been playing Northwestern in Big10 Championship Game?
