Porter is out with appendicitis

Assuming he had an appendectomy (I'm not sure there is a situation you wouldn't have surgery if you have appendicitis, but a medical professional can correct me if warranted), I believe recover time to full activity level is 1-2 weeks. So if he isn't ready for this week (frankly, we don't need him to beat Rutgres), he should be good to go for MSU.

Is an appendectomy the same as it was years ago (a three to five-inch incision) or is it done minimally invasive with laparoscopy?
