Well wrestling fans, it's friggen here, whether we're ready or not. MN HS State Qualifiers are this weekend. Team was last weekend, state next weekend. JUCO Nationals are this weekend in Iowa. D3 Regionals are this weekend. D2 Regionals are this weekend. Big Tens are next weekend. Senior circuit is on full-blast for FS/GR athletes.

The best part of this sport is that it's one of the few that is still a meritocracy of sorts. It's the American Dream, embodied in a sport: If you work hard, you can get ahead. There's no magic suit that can shave seconds off your time. You don't need state of the art cleats or top of the line gloves. Two shoes and pair of headgear are the only requirements to step on the mat and represent your school, family, teammates, college, state, club, and sport.

I can't sleep, man. Best of luck to all of you and yours, outside of the PSU fandom that brings us all here. This is what it's all about... Competing at the highest of levels.

So, ah, how did I miss that Bresser is apparently out for the season? I swore I just saw him wrestle (tough to not notice that goofy dancing that he does), but the brackets say Rios not Bresser at 125.

You do know Bresser and Rios are the same person? If not now you do.

Can't watch Pac-12 finals because you need Pac-12 network, but I see that Bresser beat Millhof. Followed by winners Ali Naser, Colt Schilling (Cal Poly), Tsirtis, so far.

Dhesi will be an extremely tough out for Coon/Snyder. Hitting his stride. Looking like a possible QF with Nick and can't say I'm liking that matchup. Hopefully Dhesi is the 6 and not the 5.
