Hey all,
By now you all know that Lamar Stevens will "likely commit" ( I put likely due to he hasn't officially verbaled yet) to Penn State tomorrow at 3pm. I wanted to give you all some more information that I had now that I feel 100% confident about Lamar.

This recruitment really kicked up this summer, especially after Toy Carr commitment. Penn State had an excellent shot with Lamar and skyrocketed his interest once the early commitment of Carr. Stevens and Carr always wanted to play together, but Chambers always kept that option a reality for both Carr and Stevens. No other school really provided that option. In August it became a two school race between Indiana/PSU. Villanova dropped out of the running in July, due to other interest in players, especially Painter.

If you all can remember back to last week where I posted my feeling on Lamar that I thought in the end PSU would land Lamar? That feeling only got stronger after the visit. Lamar and his camp absolutely loved the visit and loved the plan and future that Chambers and staff laid out for the program and for Stevens. After that visit, around Monday, all signs pointed to Stevens and PSU. Lamar was sold enough that IU dropped out and it was PSU for Lamar.

In Lamar, you all will get to see a high motor, highly motivated, and improving Lamar Stevens. He is six foot seven, not six for six, and he is built like an ox, already has a college ready body. He will be a four man and maybe play some three man as he develops into his time at PSU. Lamar is a good athelte who plays very good defense all over, he can guard three positions and rebound the ball well. Lamar struggles with his handle, better in the 2-3 dribble range. He also struggles with his shooting, though he has improved in that area. You get a good kid and a high character player who is a good student. His father Lou Stevens is the all time leading scorer at Weidner university.

Give Chambers a ton of credit as well as the staff, they worked extremely hard for Lamar. They were down at first, but they kept on working and it will be a great result tomorrow. Chambers is building something and you all should be excited. Chambers landed 3/5 of the starting lineup at Roman this year, impressive. Chambers, in my opinion, has landed 2 of the top five players in the city and 3 of the top 9 players in the city.

Enjoy this one, Penn State and the fans deserve this. Lamar is one of my favorite players to watch.
