Akins lost earlier this year to two guys not in the top-33 Coaches Ranking. With his body-of-work...looks like a bubble guy for NCAA's.
I wouldn't put it past Ryan to sit NaTo. If the Big gets fewer Bids to the NCAAs it's one less spot available for Kuhn.
The Coaches' panel has Faust ranked #4. I would think Ryan would want Tomasello getting that win. A much as Ryan would love sticking it to Penn State, I doubt he has a great deal of concern for any damage Kuhn might do at the NCAA's, IF Carson was even able to get one of those qualifying bids.
Agree. After Ohio State lost to PSU and barely escaped Michigan with a win, I bet Ryan wants to end the dual season on a positive with a win...sitting Tomasello means you are basically spotting NC State 5 or 6 points in a dual with a lot of good match-ups.
Why do you think Nolf will be the number 2 seed at the BIG 10's? He only missed 3 duals!
Not debating, just adding a possible explanation. He has one loss to a Big Ten opponent (Yeah, I know it sucks) and Kem is undefeated (at least I think, no real incentive to look it up).
Sorry for really dumb question. But who does the seeding for the Big Tens? I heard FLO discussing/arguing about Marinelli and 165 seeding for B10’s. I just wondered is it coaches or a random committee? How many people are there and do they all have to agree or is it just one persons final decision? Thanks.
The Coaches will vote. No campaigning allowed. That vote will determine the pre-seeds. Just prior to the conference tournament, there will be a coaches meeting, and they can discuss (argue, negotiate, or whatever
