With tip off in about two hours he are some of my thoughts going into today's game:

1) Obviously, Michigan State is a really good team and even better at home. In my opinion, they are the least talked about team when it comes to the best team in the country talk. They are so well balanced on both ends led by Denzel Valentine. Valentine is a pro. A modern day stretch four in the NBA, who I think will enjoy a long NB career, does it all.

2) I would like to see Penn State come out loose and ready for a fight. I would like to see the team improve on the little things as a team. For example, team defense, preimter passing, and toughness. Michigan State is going to try to come out and out physical PSU, that can't happen.

3) Michigan state typical always plays man to man defense. However, sometimes they either pack it in and play man to man or they extend it. I suspect they will extend their defesne today. Shep has to be ready to make good and wuickt decisions with the ball. Finding open teamates and knickingt down shots is essential, obviously. We have to protect the ball. In the past a team like this would force turnovers on us. Hopefully that narrative changes today.

4) I look for multiple matchups on Valentie today to give him different looks.

5) Enjoy today's game. It is a measuring stick game to see how far we have comes since the begining of the season. A lot can be learned by playing this team. Michigan State is the standard, if you ask me. Hopefully in win or lose the players learn from their opponent and even Chambers learn from Izzo.
