Congratulations to Iowa. But it seems that the pressure came crashing down around them last night. The weight of the fan base and the Iowa tradition exacted its revenge against the staff and kids. There was no joy in winning. Kids were frustrated and sounded distressed. Some acted out while others verbally showed the stress in interviews.
Thank God for Cael, the staff and the kids of PSU. Even in losing the team title, they were grateful for the opportunity. The contrast was revealing. PSU was learning life lessons while Iowa revolved around winning only.
Win or lose, well done Penn State!

Cael’s got a secret sauce or something. His system, style, skills should be in demand outside of wrestling. Every year these big time guys show up and deliver. They are 16-3 in the finals over the last 4 tournaments. 10 wrestlers. Only Hall, twice to Valencia, and Cenzo, who was upset by Lewis, have lost.

You think everybody didn't feel pressure? What about the Stanford kid?

I'm sorry, but if Kemerer and Eierman aren't up handling the pressure now, they never will be.
