All knowing board, does anyone have experience with a riding mower that is fueled by propane? Looking at a used Exmark with only 300 hours on it and two 30 lb propane tanks mounted on either side of the seat. My real question is how much run time does 60lbs of propane give you? The business selling the mower has no idea, they aren’t experienced in propane.

That's pretty cool. You could also rig it with a grill and cook cheeseburgers while you mow.

clucas, I have a friend that has a propane lawn mower you could contact in S. Wmspt, Pa. He could answer your questions. Call Tim at Going Green Lawn & Home (570) 321-8638.

Interesting...so I have a 3.5 gallon tank on the John Deere Zero turn I currently have and I can get about 5 hours of mowing time out of that. I could come close to tripling the run time with the (2) 30lb. tank propane setup if my math is correct.
