John Was a graduate assistant coach when I was a freshman at PSU. In those days we actually had JV dual meets similar to the “extra matches” they have this year...but it was dual meet style and they actually kept team score. John spent a lot of time with the freshman helping us adjust to college life and D-1 college wrestling. Great guy. Did not know the struggles he was having. His book ”Wrestling with Angels” is a must read.
