Hey all, my hotel in Baltimore doesn't get BTN (Holiday Inn, 105 W Fayette St). Does anyone know of a sports bar in the area that I can maybe get volume at? My car is parked without n/out privileges. Thank you

I watched last weeks game at he Don’t Know tavern. Good brunch menu until 2pm. It’s actually a WVU bar, but they put a few TVs to the PSU game.

Nobles at Federal Hill is the PSU bar, but it can get quite crowded (or so I was told) so you may want to go early.

Thanks! I'll check out Nobles, I'll be there early

Please let us know how it was. How crowded, how early to arrive and still get a seat, food options etc. I’ll be back next week and would like to know. Am planning to try Nobles.

For what it’s worth, even though you have a car, you may consider using Uber as the on street parking in that part of the city can be challenging. They have odd permitted zones which I found confusing. I eventually found a spot two blocks from the bar, but it took some searching.

Thanks. I'm just going to walk. It's only about a mile away. I'll Uber from there to Fell's after the game

why would anyone want to stay in downtown Baltimore for any length of time
Downtown Baltimore, the harbor, and Fell's Point are all great. Fell's is beautiful. Those are the good parts of BMore. Other parts of BMore are rough, but not there

Ehh I had something arise, so I may not be there early after all. If I am, I'll report back

So, I dropped my debit card last night and someone must have scooped it up. They then spent $500 on Victoria secrets.com and nike.com. Citizens bank called me immediately to confirm these transactions. I indicated that they were fraudulent and waited on hold for 30 min only to have them tell me that I have to call back and file a fraud report after they post... That they cannot do anything right now.

Then, why the heck did THEY call me and cause me to wait on hold for 30 min if they couldn't do anything anyway?

Haha, another reason not to use debit cards. I only had it on me because my credit card is in my Google wallet on my phone, which not every place accepts

If youre too late to get a seat, go to the Don’t Know Tavern……folks were great and the brunch menu was nice.

Great place to Dock a boat for awhile
Good Penn state Bar near Lighthouse Pt Marina. Forget the name. West Marine store next to parking lot next to Marina then a short walk in nice neighborhood to the bar. Price of beer is based upon how much of that brand they are selling. More sold, higher the price. They run the ticker and it shows prices falling or increasing.

Good ol capitalist pricing mechanism. Supply and demand. I love it

Still fairly empty for the kickoff. Cool bar, though
That’s disappointing. I used to go to Mad River, which was the bar that hosted the Penn State viewing parties. It was packed for every game. In fact, I met some non-Penn State fans who would come to Mad River with the sole purpose to eat and drink in a party setting because they knew the crowd would always be at a bar at 12 noon.

I’m sorry to say this but I have some fellow Penn State alums who have stopped watching Penn State football games all together over the past 2 years. Their reasoning is that the team is just not fun to watch anymore.

this game, so far, is a prime example
