Match vs Binghamton set for Friday Nov 17 at 7 pm. Tickets ($10) on sale Monday Sept 18

http://www.bubearcats.com/news/2017/8/7/wrestling-to-host-no-1-penn-state.aspx

Binghamton event center is a nice arena seating 4,400

I reside in Binghamton and can offer local suggestions for prematch meals etc. lots of hotels (not walker friendly) within 1 mile of event center.

PS. Steve Erber first wrestling coach at Binghamton was a Nittany Lion wrestler 1962-65.

Pre-match gathering, you say? Name the place.

Getting ready to take wife to wvb match vs Wake Forest this AM. Will provide more detail later....The area - former home of whaler/senator hockey team is NOT location for wrestling match. It is The Binghamton event center which was opened in 2004 and located on campus off the Vestal Parkway.

Also onVestal Parkway within 1/2 mile of Bing. U
- recommended food/drink location is Tully's Good Times. A sports bar with good food and beer selection
https://www.tullysgoodtimes.com/mobile/

- lodging both Homewood suites and HAMPTON Inn have special rate rooms under $100 for Friday. Also in this area: candlewood suites, Holiday Inn Express Suites, Marriott residence Inn amoung others.

- for those coming from west/south. 25miles west of Bing U on Rt 17 is Tioga Downs Casino. They have a new hotel scheduled to open Nov. 1st.

Thanks for the clarification

I live near Binghamton as well, I've attended the Bearcat open for years as it was my best chance to see the team early in the season.

...Steve Erber went on to become the AD at Muhlenburg College in Allentown and then went to Cornell as Asst AD in 2003...

Hard to believe the season opens up two months from yesterday! Time to git er done.
Actually, the first date of allowed competition is November 1, and the initial countable practice is October 10. Closer than you thought :).

Anybody figure out where to enter "Select Ticket Quantity" on that page? I've clicked everywhere, and can't find it. Also tried to select my own, click on the seats, and it still wants to know ticket quantity.

Wow! This match is nearly sold out! I wonder when Bingo has done this before. I take that back, they have lots of seats left, but it has to be well over 1/2 sold at this point.

Be careful if you try to buy tickets. The "pick your own seats" is really deceptive. Take a look at the seat map before you pick your seats. This part of the site does each section separately - you don't see the whole venue - and starts at the off-center sec. 101.
