Summing up today's "public comment session":

Lubrano ran for Chair, and Alice Pope ran for Vice Chair. Alas, Masser was re-elected as Chair, and Lubert defeated Pope for Vice Chair.

Tom, if I heard correctly, Lubrano received 10 votes and Pope received 11. The implication being that Anthony received one vote from a non-alumni trustee and Pope received two such votes. Any insight into who those trustees may be?

Posted this elsewhere......but I expect that the other votes for Lubrano/Pope came from the Wolf cabinet members (though I haven't seen that confirmed anywhere......I imagine we MIGHT hear something in the next few days). That being said:

"The most disappointing aspect of that vote count: If we assume all 9 Elected Trustees DID NOT vote for "Masser and the Front Man"....that would mean that AT LEAST one of Gov Wolf's cabinet members voted for the Front Man, and AT LEAST two of them voted for Masser. Scary.....and disconcerting."

Did you really think they would be different?

Yes.

They have, since the change-over, at least not voted in lockstep with the Scoundrels.....which is a step in the right direction.

Do I want more? Abso - freakin' - lutely. Was it disappointing that they (it would appear - but we don't know for 100% certain) split their votes? Very.

But I can't ignore the fact that even if the Cabinet folks end up being a wash - that is a hell of a lot better than the purely sycophantic Scoundrel-Goosestepping group under Tommy.

I was at the meeting today, since it was basically in my backyard. I was stunned when McCombie seconded the nomination for Lubert for Vice Chair. Why didn't he back Pope??
