PSU Response....that didn't take long. Someone's cage has been rattled.

Where are our representatives on this issue?

http://www.centredaily.com/…/letters-t…/article55087230.html

And my response to Mr Rose:

Well David....it does clarify one thing: You drew the short straw trying to defend this boondoggle.

BTW, thanks for confirming the following (which - unfortunately could not be included in the original LTE due to space restrictions): "I think I could probably script out what the response from PSU would be....just as in the "public" BOT meeting - the answers would be all about "We need to do this for the students"...talk about the shifting demographics....some stuff about establishing PSU's presence in the Philly metro area....and, if necessary, some "time to move on" babble. etc etc etc....but nothing that would look at the costs/valuations, and any answers to the ridiculous costs"

1 - Your "response": says NOTHING in addressing the ridiculous costs. Again, due to word count limitations, the following were not included in the original LTE. But, for anyone with even the most basic understand of valuations, clearly shows that the PSU Project is completely out of line in terms of cost:

Local housing development (which happens to be one of the providers currently recommended to PSU Abington students) Valuation....well UNDER $200,000 per unit

"PSU Projects"......Cost, well OVER $500,000 per unit - NOT including real estate value

2 - Of course, we all have a pretty good idea why the costs are so incredibly out of line.....don't we Mr Rose?
As mentioned, the champion of these projects is PSU BOT Capital Planning Committee Chairman Mark Dambly.
- We know that after bankrupting his Real Estate business (after defaulting on loans and being found guilty in dozens of civil suits)
- Dambly hooked up with Chester politician Dominic Pileggi and got into the "Government-Funded Low Income Housing" racket.....where THOSE projects came in at double the cost of other projects in the area.
- Dambly and Pileggi were later named as co-defendants in a Federal Anti-Trust case in the United States District Court
- Dambly’s business associate – JJ DeLuca Construction Company – was convicted of Fraud for submitting inflated invoices on the Philadelphia Naval Condominium Project.

Gee, Mr Rose....maybe we DO have some idea what is going on?

Now, Mr Rose (or whomever required you to pen this "response") I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to meet with you anytime to discuss any concerns you may have. Perhaps at the BOT meeting? (I believe the next one is in March, in Hershey)......or perhaps one of the local Radio Stations could set aside some time for an on air discussion?
I eagerly await your response.
