...at the PPL Arena in midtown Allentown, according to Lehigh site on Wrestling Report...
...seating capacity about 8,400...
...probably a more expensive ticket but a modern arena, built primarily for the Philadelphia Flyers top farm team...
...traffic in and out of downtown Allentown can be a problem but probably not bad on a Sunday...
...oh, well...maybe it's just a 4/1 announcement... :)

Stabler has been a nightmare for traffic in recent years. PPL should be a big improvement.

...no ticket announcement yet but I will post as soon as I find out... :)

...PS - there is a multi-story garage attached to the PPL Arena...

Thanks. Yeah, I took my kid to a Monster Jam there a couple of years ago, haha. Parking isn't bad at all. Btw, Grave Digger kicked a$$.

PPL is a much nicer facility than Stabler. For first timers to arena , they have a section that has extra perks. It might be called the Morning Call Pavilion? You pay a little more for tickets, but you get a lot nicer accommodations.
My only complaint about the place is the men's bathroom on what would be considered the visiting side. I had the pleasure to be in PPL for the first event. It was a concert, The Eagles, and it was packed . Most of the crowd were ages 50 thru 60. What happened at intermission was shocking . All of us mid life guys with our bladder screaming from having a few beers discovered one bathroom with only one doorway and 3 urinals . The line was like what you would see for women at concerts in The Spectrum.
With that being said, PPL is good venue and if you pay for premium seating you won't miss a match or two waiting in line .

The Eagles played a 8,000 venue? .....tickets must of been rather pricey.

Apologize for swerving off topic, but any info on when tickets for Rutgers dual go on sale? When I checked recently, only season tix were on sale.

Plus the Renaissance is a good hotel if you have to overnight it and shares the parking garage. Downtown Allentown is having a bit of a renaissance (see what I did there? :D) itself.

When I went to the meet 2 years ago, the parking situation was horrible. I think they pretty much completely ran out of parking. They started parking cars in grass/dirt beyond the parking lot. I arrived at the arena probably 45 minutes before the match and missed the first weight class because I couldn't get parked.

From Lehigh's press release:

This match will be part of Lehigh's season ticket and mini-plan packages. Season ticket holders can begin renewing their tickets on Thursday, September 14. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 20 at 12 p.m. through PPLCenter.com, 610-34-TIXX or the PPL Center Box Office. Fans looking for group sales should contact Lehigh Ticket Services at 610-7LU-GAME. Lehigh students will be admitted free of charge with a student ticket, obtained online through LehighTickets.com, while supplies last. Student tickets are available starting October 1. All internet sales will be through PPL Center.

I didn't even know about PPL arena. Looks like a pretty sweet venue. Looking forward to this!

Besides that, there is a new music venue, Miller Symphony Hall in downtown Allentown. I'm looking forward to seeing King Crimson there on 11/11/17. Sorry (or happy, I guess, since I have tickets) to say the Crim show is sold out.

Btw, Lehigh has what I think is its best home schedule in years this season. I might be in. Another season with three schools' season tickets for wrestling. :D

Im pretty sure we are in. If anyone wants to meet up before the match suggest a spot.

There is a great place we use at Muhlenberg College reunions right across the street (7th Street and Hamilton, NE corner - Renaissance is on NW corner) from the Renaissance Hotel. I'm fumbling with the name but my 40th reunion is this weekend and we'll be using it, so I will know the name by Sunday. I just did a little research and it's The Hamilton Kitchen and Bar. It has an outdoor area that works well in nice weather and also indoor facilities. There are other places, but The Hamilton works well for groups.

If you want casual and a Philadelphia tradition the arena has a Chickie & Pete's connected to it from Hamilton St. The bar/ restaurant will be open before the arena doors open. Once in Chickie &Petes you you might be able to enter PPL without going through the front lobby

Ugh. My wife, once again, planned her family Christmas party at our house for the first Sunday in December. Do you suppose if I threaten to pull the hat and beard off of my face and tell all the kids the secret, she'd let me go?

lol, no

a Christmas party the 1st Sunday in Dec.? That's pushing things, IMHO.

Perhaps an agreement -- you get the whole day to go to the Keystone Classic, and she gets you for the Christmas party (which she has you for, and you know it).

I hear ya about the earliness off the party, but this family has so many moving parts in so many places, if they hold off any longer, the crowd thins significantly.

As to the Keystone, she was there with me last year, so I can't leverage the party for that. But, I like the way you think.

Getting ready to buy a couple of tickets. Anyone familiar with the arena have any recommendations on price level? I don't mind paying more for tickets if it's worth it. I know it isn't a huge place though, which is why I'm leaning towards the cheap seats.

I was expecting to have to buy the 3 for 1 package with the promo code. Guess it doesn't apply with that? 20 bucks a seat, section 120, row 2.

I am not familiar with the arena but opted for the cheap seats. Section 204, row 3 @ $13.50 ea. I didn't have to buy the 3 for 1 package either.

my tickets came in the mail yesterday but the section is blank when it should be FL2. thoughts on who i should contact? lehigh athletics or ppl center?

Hmmm, got mine too but they have section row and seat filled in.

Totally guessing here, but I ordered mine through the ppl site and they have www.spectraexperiences printed on the back, so I guess I would try ppl first.

Heard that Spyker will be sitting in Section 1, row 4, 12 tickets
PSU_Champs has Section 112, row 1, 8 tickets
PSU_Rings will be in Houston at the Lady Gaga Joanne World Tour, backstage passes
PSU_Brokenpromises will be in Paris France, as guest Cowbell striker for Depeche Mode (who would have thought?)
