Took a statistical look at the offense going back 12 years since that was all the ESPN stat board went back.
Tried to compare the year to year offensive performance over that 12 year time frame.
Broke it down by our last three head coaches, recognizing Joe's years weren't his best. His 8 years had a a little bit of everything: two great years, 2 terrible years, and four in-between years.

And recognizing CJF's and OBs years were too short to say too much. Still, its interesting to see how the numbers on the offensive side of the ball stacked up. And maybe they will give us something to compare as the Moorhead Era gets underway.

OK. Here goes:

Per ESPNs stats for the last 12 seasons,

12 year PSU average O ranking was #70, with an avg ppg = 26.5.

Under CJF: Avg ranking: #106.5 at 21.9 ppg (small sample; program in crisis; much worse than Joe

2015 ranking: #100 at 23.2 ppg :<
2014 ranking: #113 at 20.6 ppg :<

Under OB: Avg ranking: #66 at 28.9 ppg (small sample; program in crisis; sanctions beginning; slightly better than Joe)

2013: #70 at 28.7 ppg Good
2012: #62 at 29.1 ppg. Good

Final 8 years under JoePa: Avg: #61 at 27.0 ppg

2009 #51 28.7 ppg Good
2008 #11 38.9 ppg Wow, DC!
