100-to-1 PSU

Nebraska 25-to-1 !!!

What do you all think about this? Does it matter to you?

I am really surprised that Nebraska has better odds than PSU...

West sucks. Gotta win your division first.

Yeah you're right about that. Sucks to be in the east. The road for Clemson and Bama seem much more clear cut for sure... In terms of setting the BIG up better, will they do anything about it?????

What are the odds that we can beat both Michigan & Ohio State ? Until we figure that out, looking at making the CFP is fruitless

Yep, that's the shi**y thing. It really puts us behind the 8 ball. So many other teams have much better opportunity and path to make it.

PSU pretty much has to make zero mistakes to even sniff the playoffs let alone a natty opportunity.

Well the same could be said for Michigan and OSU. I don’t think the path is easy in the SEC either

Actually, the one upside to that schedule is that PSU can likely have a slip up and their resume would still be strong for the CFP. A 1 loss PSU is almost always getting in before a 1 loss P12 school.

Don’t necessarily need to beat both. Beating Pitt puts psu in in 2016. Beat MSU in 2017 and win the ccg and psu is probably in as a 1 loss conf champ. Neither required being 2-0 vs um and osu

If PSU wants to be elite , they need to beat the elite. We need to have wins over both Mich & Ohio ST

I think the odds are down because we lose Trace. I think our actual chances are pretty good. I think we start 5-0 and then our chance at the playoff will be determined in the three week stretch of at Iowa, home vs Michigan and at Michigan State. Win at least two of those three and we’ll likely be playing at Ohio State for a legit chance at the division title and playoff berth.

Agree. 12/1 and 100/1 not even remotely close though.
To me its probably somewhere in between. From a historical recruiting perspective, Penn State could go into next year with the 7th most talented roster. Ohio State will be ahead. Michigan will be behind.

That said, I just can't see any situation in which Penn State beats Alabama, Clemson or Georgia next year. The roster just isn't there yet and there's no seemingly transcendent QB ready to take over (with all due respect to Stevens, who I expect to be decent).

Realistically, pretty much any bets beyond Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State are a waste.

Good values might be Florida, LSU or Oklahoma. Oklahoma is probably the only one of those I'd touch with a ten foot pole.
