That is absolutely false. If he came back in 2025 and had a big year, he would probably be a first round pick in 2026. He made a big mistake imo.

Not true at all. You all need to stop living in the past. Kids should go pro as soon as they're ready. The NFL is a second contract league. Winston is ready now. He was never going to be a top 20 pick or anything like that.

I know that agreeing with LC is taboo with some posters around here, but I have to agree with him so far as maximizing professional desirability. We can wish that he had stayed. Would we be doing that for ourselves or for him?

And I think that's the issue. Selfishly I wanted him to come back (same with everyone else) but he's ready and coming back isn't likely to drastically alter his draft stock. He comes back and suffers another injury he may not even get drafted.
