This group HAS to play good if not great to keep us from getting blown out. They have the capability so it's time to make it happen. Get an interception or two, support the run D, no getting beat deep and we might just keep Ohio St under 35 pts. Hopefully, the offense can put up at least 20 and make a game of it.

If you read some of Ryan Day's pregame statements, he's done nothing but praise the PSU defense (ranked ^th nationally) and especially the secondary. He knows it's going to be a lot tougher this weekend than it was against some of their most recent cupcake opponents

I already know how this is going to play out. Both secondaries are going to be clutching and grabbing throughout the game. Big Ten officials will randomly call PI on some but be blind to others. The fans of whichever team gets the disproportionate number of calls against them will lose their shit. It is my hope (but sadly not my expectation) that it will be the Buckeye faithful who will be upset.

I just hope the safties don't have to play the run too much. That can lead to bad things against the elite receivers tOSU has.

Sandbagging as any good coach would do. And Day is one of the very best. He needs to keep his team motivated as I sure he will want to send a messgage. He has a great opportunity: at home, at night, PSU severely limited at QB and no run game where we could shorten the game. And now the newly discovered weakness in stopping the run. Not looking to be compete at all…horrible match-up for PSU.

Do you believe in the Easter Bunny? That said , doubt O$U will need the calls. But if they do, rest assure they will get them (as they have many, many times) as Big10 must protect to their playoff team.

Yeah.....that's what makes OSU so dangerous. If you don't load the box, they'll zone run you to death. If you do load the box and they pass protect, their WRs will eventually beat you.

If ever there was a time to get pressure on the QB with just the DL -- and perhaps a LB or two hitting gaps -- tomorrow is it. If the OSU line protects Stroud, game over. But if we pressure him.......he's not mobile like Fields was. Force him into some bad throws or get them behind the chains, and there's a chance.......

I'm ok with Ohio St. running all over us if it keep the score low (like Illinois). That's why it's so important for the secondary to win their battles with receivers. Try to make them as one dimensional as possible.
