Please use this thread for pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussions. If responding to another poster, please use the quote function.

I'm iffy for PBP. I'm about to head out to shovel my driveway, and I'm not sure if I will be able to complete that before the dual. I'm hopeful that one or more of you will step forward to provide PBP to those that don't have access to the video stream, and for whatever reason can't listen to the audio stream. Whether or not you are providing PBP, please remember to put scores of each match into your post(s), so that those that aren't watching it/listening to it have some info.

When:
Jan. 13, at 1 pm EST

Where:
@ Rec Hall

TV:
none

Video Stream:
BTN2go.com for those that are subscribers

Audio Stream:
Available for free, at:

https://gopsusports.com/watch/?Live=239

Ironhead will be providing the radio PBP. His pre-match show will start at 12:40 pm EST. For those that have troubles accessing the audio PBP via the above link, look for ESPN 1450 out of State College, PA on TuneIn or other services.

Have fun ... just like our wrestlers and coaches.

Any update on whether or not Joseph is wrestling today?

Can complain that he is ducking, but he did miss the dual on Friday as well. WIck will get his shot at Cenzo.

This sucks. Hope he is alright and it's all precautionary. Wouldn't blame anyone for bringing on the ducking hate for how much shit we've given other teams.

Nope. Ducking is when a guy wrestles against a less heralded opponent, skips a highly ranked guy and wrestles again the next week vs a less heralded opponent. Not the case here. Something is up with Cenzo and he just couldn't go either day. Sad for him.

I think both would want to wrestle to get a feel for each other given their opposing styles. It’s a bummer, but they should be on a collision course at Big 10s (I think Wick beats Marinelli next time as refs will be looking closer at stalling tactics on bottom).

For looking like an accountant, Wick is a badass. He and Bo could have a noodle arm competition

For those with interest, Iowa vs. Minnesota at 1 PM on BTN TV (free if you get the channel).

Also Rutgers vs. Oklahoma State at 1 PM (online, pay). Lots of great matchups including Fix vs. Soriano.

Multi-task match viewing.

I think the whole ducking thing is kind of senseless. The best always end up wrestling the best. I don't think Stoll is so much ducking but is very unhealthy physically. Who knows how many matches his knee has left?

What if a guy has only wrestled 3 matches all year because of injury? Would you say he is ducking?

Doesn't have to be all or nothing, can be a bit ducking and a bit trying to keep a guy healthy. What I am skeptical about buying into is the idea that it's "safer" to wrestle less talented guys. If there is really a significant risk for reinjury, the athlete should not go against anyone.

Nice match by Schnupp. Although he couldn't maintain control after most of his reversals he showed good effort against a ranked opponent

There's another Wick who is sitting out at 57
There’s still another Wick, who shoots even more frequently than Nolf. :)

Also Nick Lee is a little sloppy in the first, tied 4-4 heading to the second

Moran seems to be a totally defensive wrestler- he's good at it. He almost wants Lee to go for the single so he can counter. Lee needs to try a different takedown.

141: Nick Lee vs. Tristan Moran

First ranked opponents that Lee has faced this season

Per 1
Lee in on a quick shot, but Moran counters and gets the TD, 0-2. Moran puts on a nice ride. Illegal 4-four on the body against Moran, so it's 1-2. Lee up quickly and out on the restart, 2-2. Moran circles, then Lee in on a single, Moran reaches across, they scramble, and Lee ends up with the TD, 4-2. Lee working a 2-on-1. Stall warning on Moran. Lee gets a tilt but can't get it to 45 degrees. Lee working an arm bar, and it's stopped for PD. Caution on Moran on the restart. Moran gets a leg and tries of the reversal, but Lee maintains control and goes for a headlock, but he loses it and Moran gets the reversal, 4-4. End.

Per 2
Moran takes bottom. He's to his feet, turns, and gets the esc, 4-5. Lee shoots on a single, Moran counters, but Lee drives thru and gets the TD, 6-5. Lee nearly got Moran to his back but not quite. Lee throws in a boot. Trying to tilt him, but not having a lot of success. Moran gets the legs out, and Lee cuts him, 6-6. Lee shoots in on a single, they scramble, crazy action, and a stoppage with 17 sec for PD. End.

Per 3
Lee takes bottom. He's up quickly, but taken back down. Lee gets an ankle, and gets a reversal, 8-6. Again, Lee nearly got him turned but not quite. Stoppage for a coaches challenge. Wisky coaches challenging the reversal? Seemed pretty clear. Perhaps they're challenging when the reversal took place with regards to riding time. Call on the mat stands. RT @ 1:21 for Lee. Moran tries to roll thru, but Lee stays with him. Lee catches him but only holds him for 1 count. Moran stands and is out, 8-7. RT is assured for Lee. 30 sec left. Lee shoots in on a single, Moran over the shoulders, and Moran gets the TD with 10 sec, 8-9. End. With 1:49 in RT, it's a 9-9 tie

OT
Lee in on a head outside single, Moran tries to counter, Lee reaches for the other leg, they scramble, and Lee gets close, but nothing. Wow. Great scrambling by both. Coaches challenge by PSU -- they think Lee got the TD. Call is confirmed

TB
Moran on bottom to start. Moran to his feet. OOB with 20 sec left. Moran on a roll off the restart for the esc. 9-10. Lee shoots and nearly gets the TD at the buzzer.

TB
Lee on bottom. Lee out quickly, 10-10. Lee pulls on the head, drops in on the left leg, but can't really drive through

SV
Moran drives in, and gets the TD. 10-12. Damn

4-7, Wisconsin
