…that Fix did not take one committed shot until the last 5 seconds of the match?
Lol no. There will be no mention that in 6+ periods between Fix and RBY, Daton hasn’t been able to get to his legs. majority of the next FRL will be spent talking about the following..…that Fix did not take one committed shot until the last 5 seconds of the match?
Not to mention that Mehki Lewis is a masterful, counter technician, but RBY just stalls.Lol no. There will be no mention that in 6+ periods between Fix and RBY, Daton hasn’t been able to get to his legs. majority of the next FRL will be spent talking about the following..
Max Dean got away with calls and shouldn’t have been in the finals. Penn State benefits again from calls/non calls.
Aaron Brooks stall rode Myles Amine. Top stalling is the ruining the sport and Spencer Lee is right about it being garbage.
Keegan O’Toole is a beast (and they are right about that one.)
Suriano, Gable and Yianni will get the rest.
so why exactly couldnt amine escape from Brooks,he has enough time!!LOLNot to mention that Mehki Lewis is a masterful, counter technician, but RBY just stalls.
(Pay no attention to the fact that RBY was in on Fix’s leg SEVERAL times to Daton’s ZERO. He did really well leaping over RBY’s back to grab an ankle though)
Most programs have multiple wrestlers at each weight. All start out at 1200 and then move up or down over time. Not really related…but another “question for the board”. Not really worthy of its own thread. I was looking at some wrestle stat stuff and got a little confused. It has wrestler rankings into the 300s. For example Zeke Ailerez of Norhern Colorado is ranked 295th at 141lbs. With only 73 or so D1 programs…how can a guy be ranked 295th? It’s always confused me.
"You just don't understand the computer logarithms" It takes a lot of work". That is what I always get told. So as wrestlers die off you will see his ranking rise accordingly. I'm just kidding about that part. Wrestlestat is GREAT for information about wrestlers and their records.....the BEST. Not so great for accurate current rankings or predictions........yet.Not really related…but another “question for the board”. Not really worthy of its own thread. Unfortunately this is probably pretty close to the truth. Poor Flo!Lol no. There will be no mention that in 6+ periods between Fix and RBY, Daton hasn’t been able to get to his legs. majority of the next FRL will be spent talking about the following..

What time today? I think their live show is free correct? I’d like to listen. If I have to pay I’ll skip it. They aren’t getting another dime from me.I loved it when Ben said nobody is beating Penn State in NCAA's. They all thought he was full of it. Ben said it before Big Tens. Pyles is such a prick. He really hates Penn State and tries not to talk about. He has to today!
I don't listen to these podcasts so I'm not sure if he is admits it now, but Pyles is an actual Iowa fan. Prior to joining flow, he was active on the wrestling forums and was a big time Hawk supporter. On FRL when IOWA MFF out of some big ten matches, it was hilarious to see Pyles side with Iowa and be careful how spoke. He is such an Iowa homer. I have listened to that show for so many years with Willie, and I do occasionally now cause I love listening to wrestling news. But he rubs me the wrong way with his arrogance. Way too many instances over the years with his smug attitude and he acts like he is so much better than everyone else. It’s so funny to see him get squirm or get uncomfortable in situations when he can not control Ben too.
But yeah on twitter he made like 4 separate tweets about Dean and that match. Did not post a lot of stuff during three days but definitely highlighted that one call numerous times. He is still just salty Cael basically put him in his place. Haha.
I don't see it as insecuritiesit's hilarious how insecure some of you are. i don't know how many times the frl guys have to say "if you want to win ncaa titles, you should go to psu" before you believe they aren't anti-psu.

Personally don’t give a shit what Pyles thinks of PSU..CP doesn't hate Penn State. At all.
The more hate PSU gets from other fanbases means there’s even more success coming out of State College. I kinda dig that…it's hilarious how insecure some of you are. i don't know how many times the frl guys have to say "if you want to win ncaa titles, you should go to psu" before you believe they aren't anti-psu.

No one. But someone did drink the last of my Strawberry Milk. Grrrr…Jesus. Who shit in your cereal?

Well, if someone did shit in his cereal, they must have shit in mine as well as many others. I have the same opinion as JSJesus. Who shit in your cereal?
I watch when I finish work, recorded. But they start around 9am.
I thought I was paying for 1 month to try. Ended up getting charged for the year. I've already cancelled. I still have till September.
Storniolo is doing a helluva coaching job at Northwestern. It's kinda like the celebrity philosophy: Any publicity is good publicity. To many in the wrestling community, PSU is the big bad wolf. FLO is catering to its base, to some extent. FLO just had Matt Storniolo on FRL for an episode. I coached him when he was 6 and am willing to take full credit for his success.
In other news, CP regularly opines on the wetness of water, and the motion of objects under the effects of gravity.… "if you want to win ncaa titles, you should go to psu" before you believe they aren't anti-psu….
I coached for 20 years, and I never told any parent what to expect from the kid. Except: I told Mrs. Storniolo that Matt was going to be a superstar. When he was 6. Guess I was right.Storniolo is doing a helluva coaching job at Northwestern.
Applying the CStar mindset. Nice!Personally don’t give a shit what Pyles thinks of PSU..
Interesting! I coach youth kids as well and am curious in what did you saw that made you say that?I coached for 20 years, and I never told any parent what to expect from the kid. Except: I told Mrs. Storniolo that Matt was going to be a superstar. When he was 6. Guess I was right.
Yep…they only got to 149 in their discussion today. Talked very little about RBY-Desanto-Fix and were fixated on early round upsets and other crap. Mentioned RBY wrestling near OOB and that he would never get away with that in Freestyle with Fix. No mention of RBY being in on Fix’s leg several times (and almost getting a cradle) with ZERO SHOTS by their warrior Daton. The more hate PSU gets from other fanbases means there’s even more success coming out of State College. I kinda dig that…
As for Pyles and Flo. I wished they spent more time doing Hawkeyes documentaries and less time giving us their take on actual wrestling. There’s other more knowledgeable guys out there for that.
He could turn his body into a pretzel. He could put his head between his legs and come out the back door. He was quick. I've had plenty of young kids who I thought would become very good. One became a spot starter for PSU. Another got a full scholarship from John du Pont. (That was a disaster.)Interesting! I coach youth kids as well and am curious in what did you saw that made you say that?
The one who went to Villanova beat Jeff Prescott in college & the one who wrestled for Penn State had Joe Williams’ back against the wall in Bryce Jordan! He could turn his body into a pretzel. But Storniolo had something unique. I was semi-retired and my old assistant was in charge so I worked with the little guys. I hung around Matt for about 3 years. He never achieved what I knew he would in time. But I knew he was going to explode. And he did. National Prep champ, PIAA champ, AA, and a pretty decent coach.
I haven't interacted with or read Pyle's posts for a number of years, but I used to interact with him before his Flo days (through a defunct board called the Wrestling Talk). He was a very reasonable poster, an acknowledged Iowa fan (even though he grew up in PA), but was balanced in his comments. He told me that he wasn't liked on the Iowa boards because he was objective and sometimes critical of them. Again, I can't speak for the present, but I always appreciated Christian's input on that board in the old days.I don't listen to these podcasts so I'm not sure if he is admits it now, but Pyles is an actual Iowa fan. Prior to joining flow, he was active on the wrestling forums and was a big time Hawk supporter.
Just finished. Yeah, not much to talk about. A bit of disrespect towards Bartlett and the guys just seemed resigned to the fact that PSU is just flat out better than everyone else…no matter what type of style is playing out in a match. Well, watched a Basch vid and this FRL podcast. Should probably go ahead and punch out and head home for the day.Yep…they only got to 149 in their discussion today. I‘m sure tomorrow, it will be 45 minutes of Keegan O’Toole sprinkled with Ben pissing and moaning about Brooks stalling on top, when he doesn’t even know the actual college rule is that in order to not get hit for stalling on top while on the mat, you must simply “aggressively work to break down your opponent”…not work for a turn. If he doesn’t like the rules, get them changed, but don’t be pissed that Aaron wrestled brilliantly and within the actual rules.
And he made it into Dan Gable's book! The one who went to Villanova beat Jeff Prescott in college & the one who wrestled for Penn State had Joe Williams’ back against the wall in Bryce Jordan!
