First off, congrats on the outstandingly dominant victory at NCAA's, it was a fun year to watch!

Now for my question, now that Hall has had a year at PSU, I was wondering if there were any insiders here that may know more about his decision process last year? Was he PSU from the beginning, or was it close for most of his process between tOSU, Iowa, and PSU? It does me no good to know either way, but he is such an impressive athlete I'm just curious. Plus, it's now the offseason so it's time for hypothetical threads.... right? :D

Not sure as to when Mark came to the decision but in an interview a few(?) weeks prior he was interviewed by a sports journalist that I believe was from PA. Near the conclusion of the interview he was asked if he had already made up his mind and all Mark could do was smile! After seeing the interview I felt pretty sure he was coming our way.

Hall said he knew as soon as he stepped foot on campus at PSU. Of course, that could be athlete-speak.

Iowa was not in his final 5. Not among his 5 officials. That much we know for certain.

He was PSU from the start as Cael told him he was good enough to be the "Hall" of Fame at Penn State!

At first everyone assumed Hall would stay in state and choose Minnesota.

Then you heard internet rumblings about both Ohio St and Nebraska - especially Nebraska w/ the Burroughs connection since JB chose MHall to train with him.

Not many folks on the message boards gave PSU much of a shot until that interview was given in Sept 2015.

Then it became apparent that you can't ever count Cael out if he really wants to land a recruit.

Hall was heading to Minny until he took the visits. You're right Jefe, as soon as Hall stepped on campus, it was all PSU.

Final two were PSU and MN.
