I preface this by saying as an observer of the board I think it's fair to say most posters believe the more highly ranked recruits a team has the more games they are likely to win. With that as the premise, looking at the recruiting rankings:
Shareef was a 5.7, 3 star recruit with offers from Mia and FL. He could be replaced by
Simmons 5.9, # 6 weak side DE, offers from FSU and many others;
Oweh 5.9, # 9 DE, offers from Georgia, OSU, Mich and many more;
Tarburton 5.8, #10 ILB recruit in the nation.
Givens was a 5.5, 3 star, unranked as an ILB; could be replaced by:
Hawkins 5.8, 4 star, #22 DT, Clemson offer.
Culpepper 5.8, 4 star, # 24 DT, Alabama, GA, FL offers.
Mustipher 5.9, 4 star, # 6 DT, Alabama offer
Hansard 5.9, 4 star, # 8 DT, Florida commit before flipping to PSU.
On the OL we must replace Bates and McGovern with a combination of Scruggs 5.8, 4 star, #19 OG, OSU offer;
Walker, 6.0, 4 star, #7 OT, Georgia offer. Bates was the #15 OT coming out of HS.
Thorpe, 5.9, 4 star, # 5 OG, Georgia offer. McGovern was a 5.8 4 star.
We have acquired a lot of high end talent and hopefully enough of these guys are ready next year to make a move.
