Just got home from the Camp Hill vs Palmyra game. My fiance went to PHS and it was their homecoming, but when I saw that CH was the opponent, I opted to join.
For over 3/4 of the game, I was 100% convinced that this kid's future was on the defensive side of the ball. Had about 11 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 FF.
It wasn't until crunch time in the 4th that he came alive offensively. In his defense, Palmyra had safety help over top of ZK all game. Camp Hill really used him more of a decoy than anything for long portions of the game (did beat the 2x team deep once, but wind took the pass about 2 yards too far) . But late, he started running crossing routes, outs, and hooks and the ball went his way.
He has fantastic hands and they are huge. Zero body catches, everything realed in with his paws. One 3rd and 9 play late, he ran a come back route to the sticks. Perfectly covered and just went up and stole the ball out of the air for the first down.
For the game winning td, ran a misdirection. Kuntz lines up right and ran shallow to the left while everyone else rolled right and throw went back to him. Palmyra covered it pretty well, but big enough to stretch for the td.
He is every bit of 6'6'' or 6'7' but is very thin still. He's also a smooth runner. I hate to use this as a comparison, but the way he runs looks like Tyrelle Pryor where he truly looks like he's not even trying to run hard (seriously, I thought he was half assing routes for the first two possessions), but he's so long that he covers so much ground with each stride. He's going to be an absolute monster human being if he packs on the pounds. Honestly could see him having a future on either side of the ball, but what I saw tonight certainly justifies his high rating at TE.
As an aside, the Camp Hill QB (Shuster) was fantastic. Unbelievable pock presence, great arm, extremely accurate from the pocket or on the run. Didn't see him make a bad throw and the kid can make all of them. Probably bound for a FCS or div 2 school, but I wouldn't bat an eye if he walked on at an FBS school. One of the better Qbs I've seen in person in recent years
