Cutch wanted to bitch about the ump, but didn't. Anybody who knows how he talks, though, understands what he didn't say.
Switching back and forth between the Phils and Pirates more and more. The Phillies might be(and probably will be) the worst team in modern baseball history once and if they trade Hamels. This should have never happened. Only incompetence or just outright stupidity of an amazing level could have allowed things to get this bad. The face of that incompetence is still trotting out there and saying stupid things.
Then I turn it to the Pirates and it seems like a miracle a night. This season is starting to seem like it has all you guys names written on it big time.
Funny things is, there are TONS of Pirates fans who unwittingly call for the Pirates to do exactly what the Phils did (trade away the system and sign untenable deals to aging players). Now, the Phils got a World Series out of it, so many would argue it was worth it. For a market the size of Pittsburgh, I argue they have to consistently remain smart to be successful long-term.
But every trade deadline when people have gone nuts saying the Pirates should be trading for [insert biggest name available for trade], they don't seem to realize that there's a long-term price to pay for that short-term potential gain. And the Phils currently embody that long-term price.
