Raise your hand if your dumb like me

Extremely ticked off?

I’m a supporter of Shak because I think they both are on the same spot on the podium but one will rain bonus, but we know there’s a rotation...and you could easily argue going for steady with the match on he line was the right call.

And Cassar has a devastating double...which we didn’t see but that speed to the legs is effing impressive. So....I was ambivalent. I sorta expected Cassar when the match got back in position for us to win.

I thought the plan to wrestle Cassar instead of Rasheed was maybe to not give Moore a look at the guy we were going to send to B1Gs and NCAAs but then Cassar goes out and shocks the world. Every time you think 197 is figured out someone ups the ante.

When I saw Cassar coming out to wrestle, I got extremely ticked off. I texted my friends "I know Cael is smarter than me, but, this is extremely stupid!!!!"

I WILL NEVER DOUBT CAEL AGAIN!!!!!!
Same here! I thought Anthony had an outside shot, but thought Rasheed had a punchers chance for a major upset!

A woman behind me that seemed to be ' in the know ' about the team told me before the match that Kuhn was going to wrestle. She also said that Rasheed got dinged up in practice this week and Cassar was going to wrestle. I don't know if all of her info was right but the 2 wrestlers who took the mat were!

I admit, I too had thought Rasheed should have taken the mat, but in the back of my mind was thinking about Cassar's quickness on his feet and was holding onto hope. Turns out Cael knows what he's doing.

Not sure what the wrestle off was about. On the radio, Cassar said he was told on Thursday that he would be wrestling.

At first I was disappointed Rasheed wasn't going, however the more I thought about it, Cassar did appear to be a good matchup for Moore. He is a full sized 197, solid defense and did beat Moore a few years ago, all be it in Freestyle. Not that I was predicting a win, but I did think Cassar could keep it close enough to have a chance to "steal" a win in the third. Certainly didn't think he would end up winning going away like he did.

I have to admit that I had a similar reaction when Cassar went out, but WOW!!! Cael has a tough decision to make. Both kids are great. I'll just enjoy the ride whomever goes out.

I think Casey has the answer to the Rasheed "dinged up" question......

I’ve read on the message boards before that Cassar has a freestyle win over Moore, but I don’t remember it and can’t find any evidence of it. Any idea where it happened?

I think I'm confusing Moore with Jacob Seely who he beat at Jr. Nationals. They must look alike or something, because I'm not the only one that thought this. Great urban legend and now it's real!

Cassar competed in the JR world team trials that Moore won, but was re-injured and defaulted out before they could meet.

I think the "big name" that people are confusing Moore with is Preston Weigel. Though I don't believe they ever hit either. Cassar just outplaced him.
