i’m sitting here this evening, and I recalled the 2000 election. It was close, but the country was in solid shape. Al Gore idk he just never did it for me but I didn’t hate him.
But the candidates aren’t the point- my interactions with friends who are politically different than me is. It was never more than banter with a political discussion, and honestly, never desired when we were around each other. And culturally, that was the norm.
These days, it’s the exact opposite. Every conversation ends up political, and each day that goes by with the political crap and politics bleeding into everyday conversations, I doubt the point of life/small talk conversation with anybody.
And that should end. Culturally, we’ve been ruined by dipshits in DC combined with big media and their insane obsession with FOX News, and FOX News responding in kind.
