FB Recruiting Ranking the top five LB classes in the 2025 recruiting cycle

Tatsch had major shoulder surgery and rehab is 6 months until he can even start lifting again so he’s definitely a redshirt. Burnett is a stud, but probably more of an edge. I hope he goes the way of Parsons and Carter playing mostly LB, but focused on being the designated blitzer. Lavar Jr. is the wild card. He looks like he’s underrated and ready to explode. He has great DNA. Does he get #11 based on legacy no questions asked?

Ah, I think LaVar's son "might" have the inside track there! lol

#11 should be earned and not given away based on name or potential. Show up, work hard, earn PT, excel, and then you earn the right to wear #11.

That is a key question.
I brought up an article that said that he was supposed to have this surgery in early October. Therefore, if there is a recovery time of six months, then that would mean that he should be able to start to do some activities like lifting as early as April if there are no complications. That would give him four months before camp. Obviously, PSU shouldn't have to worry about a frosh filling a position, but it would be nice if he could get some action like Speca did this past season without burning a redshirt.

I assume he is already enrolled at Penn State?
