Full re-ranking by NCAA Tournament results, plus some unfathomable Zain stats. Read them all, but here are a few of my favorites:
- Zain outscored the 2013 classes of every team except Ohio State, Missouri, and Virginia Tech.
- Zain outscored the #10 + #11 guys (Dhesi and Cruz).
- Twice Zain scored 28+ pts at nationals -- each of those seasons would have been #16 in the entire Class of 2013.
- Had Martinez been a 4x NCAA champ, he still would've been #2 behind Zain -- to pass Zain, Martinez would've had to pin Cenzo both times.

Thanks El-Jefe. Boy, I sure loved watching Zain's college wrestling career. His top game was a thing of beauty to behold. I was always amazed how composed and focused he was in matches, even when his opponents would smack him in the face or try other extracurricular behaviors to try to slow him down. It never worked! And the best thing of all is Zain seems to be a great guy, whose quality of character matches his wrestling prowess. I am really looking forward to watching Zain's freestyle career progress.

About 3-4 years ago, I was at the US Men's Open in Las Vegas and saw an older guy (actually a little younger than me!) wearing a PSU tee-shirt. I walked over and started talking to him, and it turned out he was Zain's uncle. Super nice guy too, it obviously runs in the family. Anyway, a little while later, Zain came by so I had the chance to talk to him for a while. He was just as Psalm 1 describes him. Really down to earth guy who seems to have a lot of regard for others. While we were talking, a little boy walked up with his cell phone and sheepishly looked at us not knowing whether he was interrupting our conversation. We laughed and Zain smiled while I took the photo with the little guy standing next to him. You could tell that made his day!

Zane’s maternal grandparents and an uncle sat right in front of us at Rec Hall. Like you said, extremely nice family. Grandpa was built exactly like Zane. Obviously great genes in that family tree. There was no one in Rec Hall more proud than Grandma!
