Ringer really got ridden, but Lewis didn't come close to turning him.

Lewis rode the snot out of BoJo with a crossface, but never quite got the cradle locked up.

That was painful to watch. Drop off Jojo's match and the winner had 5 points or less until Boyd and Cox "broke through" with 7 each. We really get spoiled as PSU fans.

It was horrible. Cowboys won first 3 matches with 2 total TDs, both at 133.

Tis true

125:
Both guys got an esc, and it was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation. Not TDs in OT. Klimara got an esc in TB1, and rode out in TB2, to win 2-1

133:
Harding got a quick TD in period 1, and after an esc in the 2nd got a TD near the end of the period. He then rodeout Synon for the entire 3rd period

141:
Heil and Manley were scoreless thru the 1st. Heil rodeout Manley in the 2nd. Heil got a reversal in the 3rd. Manley got an esc, and with RT Heil won 3-1.

3 matches, and only 2 TDs -- both in one match.

I actually found the GWH match to be very entertaining. While the scoring was limited the action I thought was pretty darn good. It was like watching a rodeo in parts.

The ringer match.....I just sat here w my jaw dropped mesmerized that he would simply allow himself to give the impression of being dominated. This after I just watched a flo video on ringer and his thoughts about his senior season. So what lacked action gave me a lot of drama.

The Boyd match was fun.

Crutchmer match ....meh :)

Klimara match was .....zzzzzzzz for once a cowboy was not the one backing up.

Just glad I could watch some rastlin on a Friday night awaiting the pending noreaster w my bread and milk in tow

Couple nice upsets for OSU at 133 and 184. Mizzu with one of their own at 174. Overall, surprised this was so lopsided. Suspect it would of been closer at MO.

It was unfortunate for Mizzou how the weights worked out. They had a 10 vs a 5 at 125, a 6 vs a 1 at 141, a 9 vs a 1 at 165 and an 8 vs a 5 at 174. They were the higher seed at only 3 weight classes and their true Frosh Heavy was going against the number 5 guy in the country. They needed to have a far number of upsets to make the match close and, although Butler did his job at 74, it appears it was too much of an ask for the team.
Ringer only getting a decision is perplexing, but as I alluded to, Heavy was going to be an issue for Mizzou and Marsden got 5.
A brief aside; Overall I'm not surprised Mizzou lost by this much. Cornell lost to Nebraska by 7, lost to Rutgers by 8, but only lost to Mizzou by 1. Take from that what you may, but to me it shows that the second tier of the Big Ten really can compete with the top non conference teams in the nation.

Watched several matches of the Meatchicken v Central Michigan on BTN plus last night. Another total snoozefest. Somebody would get a 2-4 point lead and do absolutely nothing for the remainder of the match. Neither team was concerned with possible back points.

get used to it. that's how the better teams will try to wrestle us.

This match may have given OSU the upper hand in being the top non-Big Ten team in the NWCA Rankings. NC State will still be ahead of them this week, barring a loss to North Carolina, but they wrestle Va Tech and Missouri yet this year. I thought the top team would be Missouri until last night. If we're still #1, our February 21 match-up (NWCA Dual Championship Series)...early look...it's likely to be OSU, but could be NC State if they make it through their schedule unscathed.

NC state beat ok st earlier. But that dual would look different if wrestled again. 133 149 and 157 have different cowboys these days and the way Boyd looked last night 184 might swing back orange.

So I agree roar the rankings in the event of a NC state loss to mizzou may just favor the pokes coming to rec hall for beat down

Daniel Lewis is the truth on top...Ringer is lucky he didn't get turned. If Lewis gets elite on his feet, he'll win national titles.
