For the sake of discussion let's assume we have 17 commits. I have eliminated Nordin as IMHO he is so clearly gone there is no point in discussing him. Further, to digress off topic, considering we had two FR kickers this past season who were 18-20 in FG's and IIRC as a HS junior Nordin made 3 FG's, I think we were all overly optimistic about what he would mean to the program. Many think he could help us with KO's. Maybe he could. But Gilliken also has a big leg and could be the KO guy. But I would also point out from first hand observation, I saw Julius play 4-5 times in high school and I don't think I ever saw a KO of his that was returned. They all went deep into the end zone. Apparently Nordin does the same. It's a whole different ballgame in front of 100K fans. Also, better KO coverage will make our K look a lot better.
On to how we finish the class. IMO we need to keep Pryts and Dwomfour. Next, get two of the following four - Ferns, Hamlin, Hudson, White. That takes us to 19 and let's assume we have 2-3 slots left. Looks like the two WR's are visiting on the 29th, Snelson and Johnson. If they like PSU that could be a race to get to CJF's office first to commit as I doubt we take both. That's 20. That leaves 2-3 slots for a surprise (very doubtful) such as Hill, Dioubate, Nixon or even Hansford, or some of the new names we have seen pop up since the hires of Limegrover and Lewis. We may also want to consider the possibility that the staff has a graduate transfer tentatively lined up. But regardless of how it turns out, if we keep Pryts and Dwomfour and add two from the group of Ferns, Hamlin, Hudson and White, I would be very happy with the class.
