After the last couple of weeks it is abundantly clear that most of the "franklin sucks, let's fire him" crowd have never led an organization through rebuilding or change. It's the "we want results now" mentality that will actually slow down our path to national prominence. I own a small manufacturing company that produces stairs for residential construction. We still have not fully recovered from the real estate / financial crash in 2008. That type of hit, just like the sanctions to Penn State take time and patience to rebuild. The dedication to trying to redshirt some players to allow them to develop takes a thick skin for a head coach. Everyone wants wins now, but franklin is working on something bigger. I agree with several posters yesterday. Franklin is our coach and he wants to be here, let's support him. Penn State football wasn't a national title contender prior to the sanctions, how can it possibly be one now? Give him time. If you told me after the temple loss, that we would have a winning record and give Georgia a game, I wouldn't have believed it. Just like the backup quarterback is everyone's favorite player, now the assistant coach is everyone's favorite coach. let's support our coach and our team!
