My recap and three takeaways from Penn State's 36-7 victory over Wisconsin today AT THIS LINK.

1) Morelli falls short at 165 pounds, but remains in contention for starting spot.

2) Back-to-back pins help PSU put Badgers away early.

3) Van Cura fights to the end at heavyweight.

It looked to me like Van Cura was giving up closer to 70 pounds, not 30.

For those who are Weight Watchers...

Wisky's HWT was announced at 278, with Van Cura at 194.

That 84 pounds difference is a load. :p

If this was a Star Wars battle, it would be a

Lightsaber vs a Heavysaber.

Good summary. I was listening on the radio so don't know if Morelli had a stall warning on him already at the end. If not, why did he even engage with Jordan in the last 20 seconds?

Not totally sure on that one, but there was talk that he tweaked his knee at the very end, so that might've had something to do with it. I noticed a limp as he was leaving the mat, but I missed what actually happened to the knee

Looked more like a hamstring pull or cramps the way he was grabbing the back of his thigh

Looked to me like he was having trouble moving. Jordan was pretty much coming right at him and he couldn't go back or side to side. Then, as Tim said, he came up at the very end limping a little. He wrestled a heck of a match. I was yelling at the screen when he got that takedown in the third to take the lead. anumber of kids wrestled really well and were entertaining, but for me the Morelli takedown/lead was the highlight of the match to that point. It was a shame he lost it at the very end. Cael definitely has some tough decisions at 165, but hopefully things get sorted out at the Scuffle.

Yeah.. hope it's nothing serious. He wrestled a great match against a great opponent, really thought he had it.

Re. Morelli...Heard it was cramps, looked like it to me too. He jumped off the platform, bypassing the stairs when he was finished, then ran towards the tunnel. Appears he'll be fine.

pretty sure Morelli had two 'false start cautions' plus one stall warning ..so he really had little option even if his knee was not the issue
