Football Recapping what James Franklin, Penn State's coordinators said on Sunday

PSU and us all as PSU football fans are extremely lucky to have Diaz as the DC. He's all business, knows exactly how to develop a defense, and seems to have elevated PSU's defensive recruiting.

Wish PSU could sign him up in his current capacity for the next 15 years!!!

Agreed, Greg....well put. He also seems to be a clear and concise communicator -- not a lot of extra words or fluff. He'll give examples and do so in a linear fashion. I imagine in the defensive room, his style is easier to absorb than someone with a word salad that doesn't say much.

Yes, from what Diaz has shown as a communicator in the PC's released it seems he would be very successful in a number of fields.

His concise way of speaking and his calmness seem to be ideal for the coordinator position, as he's pretty much in charge but also still the "head teacher" of the defense. Some of that talent might be wasted as a head coach where more overall coordination and planning are required and less of his time would be spent on individual player development. Hope Diaz sees it that way too!
