Recent Paterno news . . . coincidence, synchronicity, or something more?

lived a long enough life where I believe sometimes things just happen, but sometimes a confluence of events is too much to overlook as mere coincidence.

#1 - Lubrano and the alumni trustees get access to the Freeh docs

#2 - world's biggest BoT sucking troll gets publicly outed

#3 - Spurrier and Feinbaum both publicly say put the statue back

#4 - PSAA "reaches out" on their role to honor Joe for the 50th anniversary of his first game as HC

lot of freaky stuff lately . . . including my time-shift last night (short story, but if inquiring minds want to know . . . )

is this the waning gibbous moon, or something more special happening??

While I would like to agree that something good is afoot, I highly doubt it. To be clear, Anthony and others are working hard and are making great progress in getting the truth out, but I think we are a long way from seeing those efforts bring about the changes we are looking for. I believe those changes will come, but we aren't there yet.

I say it's not coincidence, or luck, or random, but the slow ripening of the fruits of labor of a lot of people, on and off, this message board.

When this all does go down, I am going to pick up a glass of Knob Creek bourbon, sit down in my favorite chair, and toast Joe and Sue. And maybe shed a tear that we had to go down this road, when simple truths and honesty would have been the just and appropriate course of action.

a lot of effort (and $$$) went into pushing a false narrative. I imagine the people behind that weren't too concerned of the damage they were doing.

Unfortunately the only people who are aware that the tide is slowly turning are those of us who follow the details closely. The general public stopped paying attention, or caring years ago. We are fighting for ourselves now, but it is worth the fight. Eventually when we win, it will get some attention again, even if only the 10 second sound bite. We need to keep pushing towards the truth for as long as it takes.

My optimism in these matters is nearly gone. I will never give up the quest for truth and justice, but I never expected we would have made so little progress in 4.5 years. It's discouraging.:(

I think you're missing a biggie. And I left #1 up there because its certainly tied to it:
#5: Pepper-Hamilton severing ties with Freeh.

Those two events are absolutely tied together.

thanks for the add. and you're right . . . my point being is that it seems like a number of people are in damage control mode once the alumni trustees started reading the Freeh docs

people who have been very vocal in creating/supporting the false narrative
