I was able to catch up with contacts this afternoon. I really want to speak with these prospects before I go out and say where I think PSU stands, but from what I've gathered, Penn State feels good about what took place this weekend.

- According to contacts, PSU feels very good about their chances in regards to Josh Kaindoh. I would like to speak with the player or his parents or a coach before I go out and say I'm expecting this or that, but Penn State feels as if they've put themselves in an excellent position following this weekend.

- I confirmed with contacts this afternoon that the assistant coaches will be sticking in town instead of hitting the road for in-home visits this week. I think there's a chance a few coaches may go out Thursday. I could see in-home visits for someone like Lamont Wade, but nothing is set in stone at the moment.

- Tariq Castro-Fields' official visit will have to get pushed back to January. He's supposed to take an official visit to Maryland, Dec. 9-11, so that weekend won't work for PSU. I could see the staff pushing for him to visit Jan. 20-22.

- Josh Helmholdt and I are working to speak with Ambry Thomas this evening. His mom had a lot of positive things to say on Twitter, but we'll see how serious he's considering PSU in the coming weeks. PSU feels good about Thomas, but they feel better about where they stand with Kaindoh.

- I confirmed which players hosted the four official visitors this weekend

DE Josh Kaindoh - Shane Simmons
DB Ambry Thomas - Zech McPhearson
DT Fred Hansard - Daniel Joseph
DT Cam Spence - Ellison Jordan
