These are the prospects that I confirmed were in attendance at this morning's practice.
OL Will Fries is the top guy, as you all know. Again, I'm not expecting a commitment this weekend, but I do believe PSU sits in a very good spot.
WR Gene Coleman is a solid prospect. He currently holds five offers, including Rutgers, Syracuse and UConn. But again, wide receiver just isn't a priority for the staff this year. The same can be said for WR Elijah Robinson. Solid player, will play for a good school, but I don't see PSU offering anytime soon.
OL Mikal Cherry is a guy I'm still learning about. I know he's a solid athlete, but I need to learn more.
As for the younger prospects, 2017 RB DeWayne Murray is a guy we've hit on a few times. The staff really likes him, so I could see him potentially getting an offer down the road. That'll likely depend on where the staff stands with D'Andre Swift, plus whatever happens in the 2016 class.
2018 LB Matt McElroy is another player we've discussed before. He's still a freshman, so we have to see how he progresses, but he's shown early signs of being a really good linebacker.
