Friday - Jan. 11

- I confirmed that James Franklin checked up on Bryan Bresee at his school earlier today. A few assistants joined him. I believe Sean Spencer was one of them.

- Penn State checked up on OL Dawand Jones at his school before he left for his official visit to Ohio State. I believe it was Matt Limegrover, but I haven't confirmed exactly which coach.

- James Franklin, Sean Spencer, Phil Galiano and Tyler Bowen all stopped at National Christian Academy, home to 2020 OL Aaryn Parks and DB Josh Moten.

- Terry Smith was in Pittsburgh to check up on two 2019 defensive backs: MJ Devonshire and Daequan Hardy.

Monday - Jan. 14

- I'm expecting most or the entire defensive coaching staff to meet with DE Smith Vilbert and his family at their home Monday evening. Franklin will use his in-home visit later this month.

- Multiple Penn State assistants will stop by Bergen Catholic. 2020 DB Jordan Morant is the main prospect they're there to see. 2020 OL Bryan Felter has also visited Penn State before.

- Ricky Rahne and Gerad Parker were in Oklahoma Monday to meet with WR Demaryion Houston.

Tuesday - Jan. 15

- Penn State's defensive staff will stay in the New York region Monday night and visit with DT Jared Hunte and his family on Tuesday.

- Ricky Rahne is in Jacksonville, Fla. to watch 2020 QB Jeffrey Sims throw. UPDATE: Sims earned an offer from Rahne.

- Tyler Bowen is in Baltimore to check up on multiple 2020 and 2021 prospects. He stopped by St. Frances, which is home to 2020 DE Demon Clowney and DB Jordan Toles, as well as many others. He also stopped by Mt. St. Joseph, which is home to 2021 WR Dont'e Thornton.

- Ricky Rahne, Ja'Juan Seider and Gerad Parker all visited WR TJ Jones today. They'll return next week.

Wednesday - Jan. 16

- Tim confirmed that multiple offensive assistants will meet with TE Brett Seither. One of us will reach out to Seither after that visit to learn more on PSU's chances.

- Sean Spencer was in Florida to meet with four-star 2019 DT Jaquaze Sorrells

- James Franklin and Phil Galiano stopped by Highland Regional in New Jersey to check up on 2021 RB Johnny Martin. They also stopped by Williamstown to check up on 2020 DE Aaron Lewis.

- Tim Banks and Terry Smith stopped at multiple programs in the Washington, D.C., area, including DeMatha, National Christian Academy, Archbishop Carroll and Woodrow Wilson. Notable prospects include 2019 Saf. Nick Cross, as well as a host of 2020 prospects, including Aaryn Parks, Josh Moten, Coziah Izzard, MarShawn Lloyd, Greg Penn, Kaden Prather, Anton Harrison.

- Brent Pry checked up on 2020 LB Derek Wingo and St. Thomas Aquinas today.

Thursday - Jan. 17

- Tyler Bowen was in Georgia. He prospect he check up on was 2021 TE Cane Berrong from Bowersville.

- Matt Limegrover attended OL Doug Nester's basketball game.

- Terry Smith, Gerad Parker and Ja'Juan Seider were in the Miami region. Stops included American Heritage, South Dade, Chaminade-Madonna, Monsignor Pace, Carol City. The staff extended multiple scholarship offers to 2021 prospects. Click Here to see who.

Friday - Jan. 18

- Multiple Penn State assistants are expected to be in the Jacksonville region. One likely stop is Trinity Christian, home to 2020 DB's Fred Davis and Miles Brooks.
