I was just now able to catch up with contacts about high school visits this weekend. I apologize for just now getting this up. With such a big game this weekend, recruiting visits have been put on the back burner a bit, at least compared to the past few weeks, but three coaches are dropping in to see a few games.

- Quarterback coach Ricky Rahne is headed out to Indianapolis to watch 2017 QB Sean Clifford and OL Matt Bockhorst. St. Xavier takes on Warren Central. As you all know, Clifford is already committed and I believe Penn State is currently the team to beat for Bockhorst. Bockhorst will go to Notre Dame this weekend for the game against USC. He's made it clear that an offer from the Irish is one that he really covets, but even if they do offer, I no longer think it's a lock that they'd automatically become the favorite. When it comes to relationships, Penn State has gone above and beyond with Bockhorst when compared to Notre Dame. They've really made Matt a priority and he realizes that. When you add in Clifford's commitment, I believe he'll be a Nittany Lion and I think it could come sooner than later. If Notre Dame offers, that could slow things down a bit, but as of now, I believe November or December is a realistic timetable for Bockhorst's commitment.

A few additional prospects to note for Warren Central include 2016 DT Jasion Brogan, 2016 OL Dominick Mathis, committed to Ball State, and 2017 RB Michael Warren, who's currently committed to Kentucky. I don't believe the staff is interested in these guys, but just figured I'd note them.

- Both James Franklin and Herb Hand will be in the Columbus area this evening to watch two games. I'm not sure which game for the first half, which for the second half, but I know that they're expected to be at Coffman vs. Westland to see future Nittany Lion OL Alex Gellerstedt. They also attend the Westerville South vs. Westerville Central game to watch 2018 Ath. Jaelen Gill. Gill has now seen two games at Penn State, including the game against Rutgers a few weeks back. Most have him penciled in for Ohio State already, but he does have real interest in the Nittany Lions. I do believe they have a good shot at making his Top 10 or Top 5, but it will probably be difficult to steal him from the Buckeyes. Gill has the potential to be a five-star prospect.

There aren't any notable prospects at Westland, but Westerville South and Central both feature multiple Division I prospects. Westerville South has 2016 OL Gunnar Vogel, committed to Northwestern, 2017 DB Marcus Williamson, committed to Ohio State and 2017 Ath. Christian Nkansah-Wiafe. Westerville Central features 2016 RB Benny Snell, committed to Kentucky,
