Our colleagues at the Notre Dame site caught up with three-star DL Daniel Joseph from Lake Forest (Ill.) Academy at the SoundMind SoundBody camp in Detroit. Joseph doesn't often comment publicly on his recruitment, so it's been difficult to gauge which schools he's interested in, but he told our friends at Blue and Gold Illustrated that Penn State is still very much in the mix.
Asked which schools are standing out, Joseph said, "Penn State, Michigan, Cal-Berkley and Iowa."
Joseph had a chance to talk with James Franklin at SMSB as well. He said "it was an honor to meet him" and Joseph now has plans to visit Penn State later this summer. He won't be around for Penn State's satellite camp in Chicago. (Joseph is a native of Canada and will be home that weekend.) But he's aiming to make the trip to State College soon.
He'll visit Michigan this weekend.
