I will post quotes and any additional info I receive in this thread throughout the evening.

Junior Day is scheduled to end at 6 PM, but some guys are beginning to head out of town now, so I'll do my best to get as much feedback as I can for you guys in the next few hours.

A few notes:

- I've confirmed that RB D'Andre Swift did make the trip today.

- I've also confirmed with Good Counsel LB Ayinde Eley and Paramus Catholic
DT Corey Bolds that they couldn't make the trip today.

- As expected, Maryland Ath.Tariq Castro-Fields picked up an offer from the staff.

Class of 2017

DB Richard Bowens III- FILM - Orchard Lake, Mich. - St. Mary's

- "What stood out the most is how comfortable I felt with the coaches and how I picked up on the defensive schemes when we were watching some film. I talked to the coaches about where I am in the process and they said that I'm close. The coaches were saying that they'd love to coach me and that I'd be a good fit for Penn State. I think Penn State would be a good fit for me, too."

DE Elijah Conliffe - FILM - Hampton, Va. - Hampton

- "The trip was great. I absolutely love it up here. They're definitely going to be in my top five, for sure. I really love the atmosphere, it's just great."

- "The coaches were telling me how they liked how I play. They talked to me about the school's history, which was amazing. Also, the stadium is amazing! 107,000!"

- "I'll definitely be coming back. I just really need to see what other schools have to offer."

DT Grant Gibson - FILM - Charlotte, N.C. - Mallard Creek

- "I really enjoyed my visit at Penn State today. It was my first time being on campus and I really enjoyed it. While on the trip, I got to talk with Coach Smith, Coach Spencer, and Coach Joe Brady, who was coached by my high school coach. I really was impressed with the campus and all the things that Penn State had to offer. The academics were great and Coach Franklin's philosophy on the program was also great! I really enjoyed my visit!"

DT Kurt Hinish - FILM - Pittsburgh, Pa. - Central Catholic

- "I had a great time today. It was really, really fun. I talked to the coaches a lot. We talked about their schemes and different pass rush moves today, things like that. I really, really enjoyed my visit here today."

DE Tyree Johnson - FILM - Washington, D.C. - St. John's

- "I like the coaching staff. They're really cool. I saw what the defense is all about and I really like it there. It's a cool place to be. What stood out to me is the vibe the coaches bring to the team. They really got a championship mindset. I also really like the weight room and that's pretty important to me. I also got to hang out with some of the other recruits and met some of the players there."

Ath. Ryan Lezzer - FILM - Clearfield, Pa. - Clearfield

- "It was good. I really like it there. I spent most of the day with Coach Pry and I'm starting to talk to the offensive line coach more. (Limegrover) recruits my area. I was really impressed with the facilities there. All of them have been updated recently and they look pretty impressive."

WR Evidence Njoku - FILM - Cedar Grover, N.J. - Cedar Grove

- "To be honest, I really enjoyed my trip. I wasn't really expecting it to be as nice as it was. I would say the number one thing that stuck out to me is how Penn State takes care of their players, on and off the field. Today made me realize how much the school really helps the players out. Along with a good education, the school also has a strong alumni base and they contribute back to the school and the graduates a lot. The stadium was also not what I expected. It's so big. It made me realize how great and how active it is on game day."

- "The coaches really stuck out to me. Coach Franklin, Coach Gattis, Coach Rahne and Coach Moorhead really have a drive to make the program great. Their will to win games, that got me excited. When I talked to the coaches, they just highlighted what I could bring to the program and the offensive schemes they could use me in. They also told me that Penn State allows athletes to develop as both a player and as a person. There's so many things I could do with a degree from Penn State."

TE Andrew Park - FILM - Burke, Va. - Lake Braddock

- "I thought it was great. The facilities are amazing and the stadium is huge. I had a great time here today."

- "I talked with the coaches about the offense and what the tight end position needs to do in this offense."

Ath. Derrek Pitts - FILM - Charleston, W.V. - South Charleston

Since it was his first visit to Penn State, I wrote a full update on four-star safety Derrek Pitts.

LB Nathan Proctor - FILM - Indian Head, Md. - Lackey

- "I liked the trip a lot. I spoke with the coaches and the staff kept things real with us. Coach Franklin really cares about the players getting their degrees. We talked about that and how that's really important before the leave for the draft. I really liked what they had to tell me."

LB Avery Roberts - FILM - Wilmington, Del. - Concord

- "I had a good time and I will be back soon. I haven't been up here in awhile, so it was great getting a chance to catch up with Coach Pry and Coach Franklin. Their message to me was that I'm a high priority for them and a player they really need. They love the way I play and think I would be a perfect fit in their defense."

OL CJ Thorpe - FILM - Pittsburgh, Pa. - Central Catholic

- "It was great. I really love the new coaches, Coach Moorhead and Coach Limegrover. Both are really cool dudes that love Penn State, so that's a great plus. They are Central alums, too, and Coach Moorhead coached my brother at Fordham, so there's a lot of familiarity and chemistry with my family. The presentations they showed us were really cool, too, especially with the new locker room they're building. I also got to see what it's like by spending time with my former teammate (Petrishen)."

DE Mike Tverdov - FILM - Union, N.J. - Union

- "I've been meaning to get up there for months now, but I finally made it and Im happy I did. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I was impressed with everything. I mostly talked with Coach Spencer, Coach Rahne and Coach Pry. Coach Pry said he likes me a lot, along with Coach Spencer. I think Coach Spencer is a great defensive line coach, too."

DB Lamont Wade - FILM - Clairton, Pa. - Clairon

I caught up with Lamont Wade's father, Carlton Wade. I wrote a full update on him instead of just posting quotes.

WR Mark Webb - FILM - Warminster, Pa. - Archbishop Wood

- "I really liked the new offensive coordinator and the improvements they're making in the football buildings. We just mainly talked about the new offense and went over some different schemes and different plays they can use me in. I also got to hang out with (Ryan) Bates and (Jake) Coop for a little bit in the beginning. It was good to see those guys. But overall, the visit was great. I had a good time."

Class of 2018

WR Shaquon Anderson-Butts - FILM - Harrisburg, Pa. - Harrisburg

- "It was great man. The coaches were telling me that I have to jump on board soon (now that Damion is on board). (laughs) I definitely feel the love from them. The coaches are great. I loved it this time. I love it every time I'm up here, but I really had a great time today."

WR Jahan Dotson - FILM - Nazareth, Pa. - Nazareth Area

- "It was great. I would say that what stood out to me the most was definitely the academics and what they have to offer from that stand point. Just seeing how high Penn State was ranked in the academic field was amazing. I learned a lot. I think it would be great for me. Another thing that stood out to me was the stadium and how big it is. I would love playing in front of big crowds like that. That would definitely bring out my best. There were a lot of other things that stood out to me, too. It was a great time."

TE Zack Kuntz - FILM - Camp Hill, Pa. - Camp Hill

- "I had a great time! It was good talking with the new tight ends coach and looking at some film with him. We were mainly just talking football, which was nice. I enjoyed that. It was nice talking to Coach Franklin again. I got to see the campus more and just learn more about the school, besides just football, which is good."

Ath. Isaiah Jones - FILM - Wyndmoor, Pa. - La Salle

- "It was an amazing experience overall, no doubt. I was happy I was able to catch up with Coach Spencer today. He recruits my area. We had a real nice conversation. It was also nice meeting Coach Franklin. He is a very charismatic person. He got me really excited about playing college football. The coaches also talked to me about me weight, how I'm growing and how school is going. It was great. We shared some laughs and had a wonderful time."

- "The thing that probably stood out to me the most was the level of respect everyone showed my family. Also, the family feel that they've been able to form at Penn State. You could tell as soon as you walk in there that they have a family vibe. They treat everyone like that."

WR Julian Major - FILM - Pittsburgh, Pa. - Penn Hills

- "Today was a good visit. I got a better feel for what the school really wants for you and what it can do for you. It's just a great place to learn and play football. The coaches make that easy. I talked with Coach Smith and Coach Gattis about keeping in touch with them more. Hopefully, since I keep my grades and have good film, I'll be able to get an offer from them soon."
