I've been reaching out to a ton of prospects over the past two nights. Here are some notes that I've been able to collect
- I spoke Carlton Wade, father of Clairton Saf. Lamont Wade this evening. Lamont and his father are set to go to North Carolina and Duke next weekend, April 1-2. I also asked if they'll like visit Penn State again before the end of spring practice. He replied, "yeah, we will. That's an easy visit, so we'll figure out a date later on."
- I confirmed with Pittsburgh Central Catholic OL CJ Thorpe this evening that he'll visit Auburn, Georgia and LSU, April 1-3. He's also looking into visiting Penn State this Saturday, March 26, but nothing is set in stone at the moment. If he doesn't make it to PSU this weekend, he'll likely return for Blue-White Game, April 16.
- Owings Mills, Md., OL Jordan McNair informed me this evening that he is set to return to Penn State for the Blue-White Game, April 16.
- Paramus Catholic DT Corey Bolds informed me that he should have a visit set to Penn State sometime in the next week. He's planning to speak with PSU in the next few days. Bolds informed me that the visit will likely come in the first or second week of April.
- Detroit, Mich., Martin Luther King Saf. Ambry Thomas informed me that his next visits will be to Penn State, Pitt and West Virginia. He's aiming for the first week of April, but still has to plan everything out with all three schools.
- Upper Marlboro, Md., CB Tariq Castro-Fields informed me that he's aiming to return to Penn State April 16 for the Blue-White Game. "I should be there, but I just have to make sure everything works with my schedule," said Castro-Fields. "I definitely want to get back there."
- It appears as if PSU is no longer seriously pursuing Potomac (Md.) Bullis School Saf. Damani Neal. When I asked about his contact with PSU this evening, he said that he "hasn't been talking to them much." I also asked about any future visits and nothing is in the works. Neal visited Virginia today. He'll go to Duke tomorrow and Vanderbilt this weekend.
- I caught up with Jim Jurkovec, father of Pine-Richland 2018 QB Phil Jurkovec. Phil just visited Notre Dame this past weekend and is now set to go to Ohio State tomorrow. He'll also stay overnight and visit with the staff again Thursday. Jurkovec's father informed me that Penn State will likely be the next school that they visit, but nothing is set in stone at the moment.
- Cedar Grove, N.J., WR Evidence Njoku informed me that there's "a 90 percent chance" that he returns to Penn State for the Blue-White Game, April 16. He's flying out to USC for a visit this Saturday. He'll then go to Miami, April 7, and is also planning to visit Tennessee sometime next month. PSU is in a great position currently.
- Virginia Beach, Va., DE/DT Jordan Williams is planning to speak with the PSU sometime in the next week. He's hoping to set a visit with them once he's able to speak with the staff. He prefers to come watch a spring practice, but if that doesn't work, April 16 should work with his schedule.
- Penn State has been making a push in recent weeks with Cincinnati, Ohio, TE Matthew Dotson. "I'm actually trying to hit up Penn State soon," Dotson said. "I've been talking with their coaches about it."
- I've added five prospects for the Blue-White Game. Those players are:

OL Robert Martin - FILM - Montvale, N.J. - St. Joseph's ***
OL Jordan McNair - FILM - Owings Mills, Md. - McDonogh ***

ADDED: Tuesday - 10:20 PM EST
- IMG Academy LB Jordan Anthony just got back to me. Unlike some of his teammates, Anthony won't be home until this weekend. However, he will be in the region all next week. Anthony still needs to speak with his parents about everything again, but he did inform me that he's discussed visiting both Penn State and Maryland while he's home. I'll continue to check in with him throughout the next week.
ADDED: Tuesday - 10:35 PM EST
- I confirmed a solid prospect that visited this past weekend: 2018 TE Trenton Gillison, from Pickerington, Ohio. I knew about his teammate, Xavier Henderson, but Gillison was a late addition. He already holds nine offers: Cincinnati, E. Kentucky, Indiana, Kentucky, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Ole Miss, Pitt and Toledo.
I'll post more on Gillison later this week, but he had a lot of good things to say about James Franklin, as well as Ricky Rahne and Joe Moorhead. Franklin came to his school this past season, but since he's a 2018 prospect, Gillison is the one that has to initiate everything until September, so this past weekend was his first real opportunity to get to know the coaches.
