I posted individual film of both running back D'Andre Swift and offensive lineman Andrew Stueber.
RB D'Andre Swift
- I don't think it's unfair to say that Swift was the best route-runner in attendance Saturday. WR Mark Webb was great, but Swift would be my pick for top running back and top wide receiver if I was making the selection. As you can see from his film, his cuts are just on a different level.
When it comes to Penn State, I expect the Nittany Lions to be in the mix until the end, but he's also spoke very highly about his recent visits to both Clemson and Georgia. His next visit will likely be to Florida State, but that's not set in stone at the moment. His next trip to PSU will likely come for the Lasch Bash BBQ in July.
OL Andrew Stueber
- It was always going to be difficult for Stueber to win MVP honors considering Isaiah Wilson was in attendance, but I don't think it's unfair to say that he was the second or third best lineman in attendance. I thought Gonzaga guard Johnny Jordan also performed well. Stueber was the only tackle that had any success against DE Micah Parsons. He also had arguably the best first step of any lineman in attendance.
As for recruiting, I think PSU is probably the favorite right now, but that also doesn't mean a whole lot because it doesn't look as if Stueber is going to end his recruitment soon. I thought there was a decent chance he'd commit to PSU following those commitments, but that didn't happen. He then added offers from Duke, Northwestern and Tennessee and is now in the process of setting visits to both Northwestern and Tennessee. Once he's able to take those visits, we'll just have to see where things stand. Im pretty confident in saying that PSU will always be in his top three, but if he decides to wait until late in the summer or this season, that may not matter.
