2017
LB Jordan Anthony
IMG Academy finished its season 11-0. Multiple publications consider them the No. 1 high school team in the country this year.
- Totaled 79 tackles in 10 games
- Racked up five tackles for a loss of yards
- Registered one sack for a loss of three yards
- Added five quarterback hurries
- Had three pass deflections in pass coverage
LB Anthony Hines
Playing in one of the most competitive leagues in all of high school football, Plano East finished its season at 6-5. They lost in the first round of Texas’ 6A D1 playoffs.
- Totaled 245 tackles (138 solo, 107 assist) in 11 games
- Racked up 38 tackles for loss
- Registered six sacks
- Added 11 quarterback hurries
- Had two interceptions
- Forced five fumbles and recovered one fumble
DT Ben Hutch
Hillsboro finished its regular season with a 6-4 record. They won one game in the TSSAA Division I, Class 5A state playoffs before being knocked out in the second round.
- Totaled 28 tackles in nine games
- Racked up four tackles for loss
- Totaled two sacks

DE Josh Kaindoh
IMG Academy finished its season 11-0. Multiple publications consider them the No. 1 high school team in the country this year.
- Totaled 41 tackles in eight games
- Racked up 10 tackles for a loss of yards
- Totaled 7.5 sacks for a loss of 24 yards
- Added seven quarterback hurries
- Totaled one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass deflection
Ath. Jon Lovett
Cherokee finished its regular season with a 5-3 record. They lost in the first round of the NJSIAA South Group 5 state playoffs. They have one game remaining against rival Seneca on Thanksgiving Day.
- Totaled 1,186 yards rushing on 160 carries
- Averaged 7.4 yards per carry, 131 yards per game
- Scored 21 total TDs, 18 rushing

LB Nathan Proctor
Lackey finished its season with an 8-3 record. The Chargers, who were the No. 12 seed, were eliminated from the MPSSAA 2A state playoffs in the first round.
- Totaled 74 tackles
- Racked up 16 tackles for loss
- Registered eight sacks
- Added 14 quarterback hurries
- Forced two fumbles and recovered one fumble
- Had three pass deflections in pass coverage
Ath. Lamont Wade
Clairton remains undefeated on the year, 12-0. They’ll play Jeannette on Saturday for the WPIAL Class A Championship.
- Totaled 1,946 yards rushing on just 123 attempts
- Averaging 15.8 yards per carry, 176 yards per game
- Scored 29 total TDs
